Will attempted to sneak into the Governor's house after his conversation with Jack and Raven. When he reached his bedroom, he, as silently as possible, stuffed some of his clothing into a bag. He smiled, satisfied with himself when he finished packing everything he thought he was going to need, and silently exited his room and tried to make his way out of the house without being caught.

"William Turner, what are you doing?" He heard a loud whisper come from behind him.

William sighed and turned around in one fluid movement. "I must go Elizabeth. There is business I must take care of." He took a few steps toward her and ran a hand down the side of her face. "I will come back. I promise." He leaned in and kissed her lips softly.

Elizabeth returned the kiss for a moment and then pulled back. "What is it you must do?" she asked. "Please, tell me, before you leave."

Will took a deep breath and hugged Elizabeth's body to his own. "Jack Sparrow and one of his crew members found a map leading to my inheritance, possibly to my father. I must go with them."

Elizabeth pushed Will's arms from around her and took a step back. "You're galloping off to be with pirates again? William, how could you even consider this? My father may not be able to save you again! No good shall come of this!"

Will shook his head and stepped back from Elizabeth. "I knew you wouldn't understand." He sighed and turned around. "I must go, I love you."

"No." Elizabeth replied.

"No?" Will turned back around and faced his fiancée.

"No." Elizabeth repeated. "If you're going to go off with these Pirates again, I'm going with you." She paused at the look on William's face. "I won't take no for an answer. Either we both go, or none of us do. Swallow your pride William. Taking a woman with you will not make you less of a man."

William smiled at Elizabeth's assertiveness. "Hurry."

When she was back in her own room she looked through her closet and pulled out the most form fitting dress she had. It was a very light green, almost white at the top, and faded into a very dark green, almost black, at the bottom. The bodice was made of mostly lace and showed off a healthy amount of cleavage. She grinned evilly. This one would be perfect. She folded the dress neatly and put it into her bag and met up with William in his room.

Elizabeth smiled back at him and both of them hurried up to her bedroom to get some clothing packed. "Aye, woman." William said to Elizabeth. "None of this will do." He sighed and pulled Elizabeth out of her room and into his. "They'll be a bit big on you. But better you wear my clothing than those bloody dresses." He stuffed more of his clothing into his own bag.

"At least let me bring one along." Elizabeth pleaded.

"Hurry." William repeated. Elizabeth grinned and darted out of the room.

"I must leave a note for my father." She told him as they made their way down stairs.

"Hurry." Will said for the third time, growing impatient.

Elizabeth smiled at his redundancy and kissed his cheek. When they were in the parlor of the house she found a quill, ink and paper and wrote a note to her father. When she was finished with the note, Elizabeth put the quill and the ink away and placed the note at the head of the table, where she was sure her father would find it in the morning.

...

When Governor Swann woke up the next morning, he made no notice of the rare silence in the house. He just thought that William had been working all night and was still asleep and that Elizabeth was off reading somewhere.

He first saw the note when he stepped into the parlor, and thought nothing of it. He pushed the piece of paper aside until he had finished his breakfast, and then he gave it notice.

'Father,

I know you will not be happy when you read this, but William and I have left. I don't know for how long, but we will be back.

William found a map that has something to do with his father and he must go after it. As his wife in training, I believe I am doing the right thing by going along.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth'

"Damn him! Damn her!" The governor cursed, crumpling the note and throwing it across the room.
