Kaze's Office
The room expands outwards to the east and west, gently curving away, the very design of the place rejecting simple angles. The rooms basic shape is that of an egg, A pair of low, curved doorways lead both to the west and the east. In the center of the room is a low-set desk made of an onyx black wood. Behind the desk is a single large pillow. Dominating the southern wall behind the desk is a large silver statue of Fudo Myoo. From the center of the ceiling hangs the rooms only source of light. A silver lamp with 4 candles. The air of the room carries the vague scent of vanilla.
Kaze sits relaxed at his desk. Ray sits nearby on a single plush cushion and absently plays with some little game, consisting of a ball, cup and string.
A knock comes at the door. "Mr President Sir - Razz is here."
Kaze taps the papers he was reading against his desk, then slides them home into their drawer before quietly closing it, "Enter, then."
Shiroi, feather duster in hand, leads the way for Razz into Kaze's office. Making a show of it, the girl opened the door wide for Razz and bowed elaborately as the elfling passed her.
Razz's eyes passed over the room, and she turned her head to see all that is in the room.
Kaze tsks and points at Shiroi, "You come in as well.
Shiroi curtseys where she stands, and crosses the room to stand beside Razz, and curtseys again. "As you wish, Monsieur President."
Kaze chuckles slightly and shakes his head, turning to Razz he smiles, "Isn't she cute?"
Razz spends a moment, wondering at the question. "Uhm, yes."
Kaze stands up, brushing off the front of his cloak as he works his way around the table. He absently presses a button and a set of 4 cushions rises out of the floor, "Please, both of you, have a seat." he says as he motions to them.
Shiroi says: Aah, thank you.
Kaze half frowns, half smirks at Shiroi, then just shakes his head slightly, "Anyway. How are you doing, Razz? Do the guards treat you well? Do you have want or need of anything?"
Razz looked around the room, a bit nervous. "I'm fine... I don't see much of the guards... Uhm..." she shook her head. "I don't need anything more, I don't think so."
Kaze frowns and taps his knee with his hand, "Why do you look so nervous? I thought my office was rather plain and unimposing compared to what other people have built..."
Razz drew her attention onto her hands at Kaze's words, then remembered that she ought to look at the person addressing her. "I... It's not that... "
Kaze drew his hand up and scratched absently as his cheek, looking at Razz curiously, "Then what is it, lady Razz?"
Razz kept her eyes on Kaze's collar instead of his eyes. "I just don't know this place very well..." she murmured. "And..." But she stopped, and shook her head.
Kaze smiled again, tilting his head slightly to the side as he listened, "Come now, lady Razz. I want to know what you are nervous about. Won't you please let me know? Maybe I can help."
Shiroi, meanwhile, seems to be engrossed in Ray's game.
Razz lowered her eyes, and returned to staring at her hands. "Would you... not call me lady? I asked you before..."
Kaze shakes his head at himself, tsking under his breath, "Ah, I'm sorry Razz. its been quite some time, it seems I'd forgotten."
Razz shakes her head as well. "No, it's okay," she said.
Kaze stands up, looking a bit uncomfortable as he turns away and looks up at the statue behind his desk, "I'm glad you are okay, and that they were able to save you." he says in a rather thoughtful tone. Kaze pauses then turns around, looking straight at Shiroi, "And has she been doing her job?"
Shiroi pulls her attention back onto Kaze, and blinks innocently.
Razz takes a moment to look at Shiroi. "Yes, she's been very nice to me..."
Shiroi grins widely at Kaze.
Kaze taps a button on his desk and a screen pops up, he absently reads over it and snickers to himself, "You do know 98% of this building happens to be under constant video and audio observation, correct?"
Shiroi nods. "But of course!"
Razz stares, not understanding.
Kaze presses another key and a handful of words scroll by before the screen goes dark, "I've not checked the tapes anytime recently. I'm giving you a bit of faith in that department. I will get around to them, though. If I see you disregarding your duty, Shiroi.. well..." Kaze just shrugs, "I think you understand."
Shiroi makes a bowing gesture, with her arm, as she is still seated. "But of course, monsieur."
Kaze snickers and turns to Ray, whom is still playing with the toy, "I wanted to show you girls something."
Kaze walks over to Ray, ruffling his hair, "Now, Razz... I'm sure you remember me talking about my mother, possibly?"
Razz nods. "Yes, I do."
Kaze chuckles and points to a spot at the floor. Ray stands up and shuffles over to the floor, giving a forlorn look back at his toy before looking at the ground in front of him, "Do I have to?" he asks in a rather plaintive voice. Kaze nods and pats him on the back, "Only for a moment or so, Ray. I just want to prove, or show, a point."
Shiroi crosses her legs, and rests her elbow on her knees, on which she cups her chin, watching Ray.
Ray grumbles and unbuttons the front of his coat. He then rests his hands at his sides as he takes up a tensed stance, his back slightly bent and his feet apart. The air around him seems to shrink away from him as the wood below his feet seems to warp.
Razz watches, her eyes wide, her teeth biting into her bottom lip.
Ray seems to change, ever so slightly, his skin becoming paler before filling with a sick green tint. The skin across his body seeming to curl then get pulled taut, his body slowly expanding.
Shiroi looks on, without comments, for once.
Ray gives out a bloodcurdling shriek as he throws his head back, a great expanse of wings ripping free from the flesh of his back as the rest of the change seems to take place in an instant.
Kaze looks at Ray with an unblinking indifference as the 'child' stands hunched over, breathing heavily.
Razz shudders in a start as Ray screamed, but kept silent.
Kaze pats Ray on the back, "Thank you Ray, Since you helped me so much, you can go down to the game room later and pick up some games to play or something." he speaks to the beast as if its still just a simple child, before turning back to Razz and Shiroi, "Enjoy the show?"
They stare at Kaze in respective silence, unblinking. While the expression on Shiroi's face seems to convey a simple "Yeah, and...?", Razz seems to not quite know what to think.
Kaze goes to sit back down, Ray slowly breathing in the background as his skin slowly pales andskin slowly pales and he returns to normal, "Ray is my child. More or less. My genes."
The girls wait for the rest of the explanation. Again, in silence.
Kaze sighs and hits his forehead with the palm of his hand, "...If he's my son. And I haven't done anything to him, genetically or otherwise, yet he can do what he just did..." he says the last part slowly.
It was Shiroi who spoke up. "You should be able to do what he does too."
Kaze claps his hands, "Almost. But not quite. He can do what he can do, because that was all he got from me. The genetic half of it. I, on the other hand, have both sides of it. The genetic, and the magical. That change.. will someday happen to me. I don't know when and I don't know how. Nor do I know if it will be permanent or not. I'd prefer to just avoid it all together, though..."
Shiroi continues to stare blankly at Kaze, while Razz... well, she still doesn't know what she's suppose to think. More silence, all around.
Razz looked to Ray again, her lips slightly parted. Then she looked back at Kaze, wondering if she should say something.
Kaze says: Yes, Razz?
Razz says: Uhm...
Razz asks: Is there anything that I can do to help?
Kaze shrugs slightly, "That's the thing. I don't really know what will or will not help. I'd be grateful if you'd be willing to assist me, though. If I can find a way."
Razz looked at Kaze in the eyes. "I would," she said, sincerely.
Kaze snickered softly to himself, "Of course, I more or less just wanted to tell someone. Which is why I had you brought here, Razz." Kaze then looks over at Shiroi, "As for why you are here.. well... I have my reasons in that as well." he says as he smiles at both of them.
Razz seems to ponder whether or not she should smile back before tentatively doing so, and Shiroi cracks a grin, her eyes still half-closed from her blank expression.
Shiroi says: I don't suppose you'd be willing to share those reasons with us?
Kaze stands up and again brushes the probably imaginary dust from his clothes, "Maybe. But first, both of you, get undressed." he says as he goes around his desk to kneel in front of the statue.Shiroi arched an eyebrow at that, while Razz appears to be completely dumbstruck.
Shiroi shrugged. "Well then."
Kaze opened a drawer at the base of the statue before commenting over his shoulder, "I'm not going to bite or anything, geez."
Ray is now sitting on his cushion, his back to the room as he continues to play with tbe simple toy from before.
Shiroi reached up and undid the knot at the back of her neck which holds up her outif, while Razz looks on, unsure, her hands creeping up to slowly undo the clasp at her collar.
Kaze continues to dig through the drawer, pulling out a few things before putting them back where they came, finding at least one thing he was looking for which he lays beside himself.
Soon found Shiroi's garments fallen at her feet, and she steps over to help Razz out of her robe. Still uncertain, Razz stood and let her.
Kaze finally found the second thing he wanted and closed the drawer, throwing the white cloth over his shoulder as he turned around and walked back around the desk, waiting patiently.
Shiroi caught the cloth with one hand, and spread it out with her other hand to examine it.
Once having figured out that the pile of white cloth is in fact two robes, Shiroi handed one to Razz and pulled the other over herself, an action that Razz was able to follow efficiently.
Kaze nodded, "Good." then headed through the door to the east.
Shiroi manages another elaborate bow. "This way, madame," she says, and trails behind Kaze.
Kaze's Office
The blue sky shines beautiful down upon the lakeside, small ripples cresting along the lakes surface and splashing down upon the white sandy shore. A small copse of trees are growing to the east. The trees themselves appear to be sakura, the blossoms in full bloom. A small black futon rests below the shade of the sakura trees. Just to the south of the entry way sits a little desk, standing on top of a small grassy hill. To the north is a large boulder which stands in the sand before the lake. In the side of the boulder is something which looks like a small, wooden door.
Kaze takes a deep breath and looks around, obviously happy with this little place, "How do you like my bedroom, girls?"
Shiroi looked around with her hands on her hips. "Reminds me of a painting. Cute, really."
Razz is still stretching her neck, looking up and around. "I think it's... very nice."
Kaze seems to give a sad tsk, "Alas, a usually empty place. Though odd as it may seem, the bedroom, nor the bed itself, is my goal. Follow me." he says as he walks over to the boulder, pulls out a key, and unlocks the small door, opening it up and stepping through it.
Kaze's Office
This room is small, and rather dark. In the middle of the room is a square box, outlined in black wood, and filled with a pure white sand. In the center of the sand is a single large rock. The rocks surface is almost perfectly round. There are designs etched into the sands surface. The roof is painted over with a design of stars. The symbols of the zodiacs clearly painted out using different shades of colors. The entire eastern wall is dominated by a large cloth scroll of some type. The entire surface of the scroll is covered with small writing. The writting is in a very fluid script which is nearly illegible. Even if one could make out the symbols, it seems to be in a very ancient dialect. The room still carries the scent of the sakura.
Kaze almost glides across the room and hops into the center of the box to stand atop the rock, "I do apologize for the stripping act earlier. Though I must admit I enjoyed it, as I never have gotten around to the female issue, it was more because this room wouldn't be too happy with the fabrics and chemicals of your clotand chemicals of your clothes."
"Never have gotten around to the female issue...?" Shiroi archs an eyebrow.
Kaze waves a hand absently, "You know, dating, mating, the whole 'deal'. It takes far too long and mother doesn't quite give me the time."
"I never would have guessed."
Shiroi gave the room another once-over. "So, is there anything else we should know about this room, besides the fact that it dislikes cooties?"
Kaze smirks and sits down on the rock, his hands clasped in his lap, "maybe I should have left you to walk around naked, Shiroi. You would probably enjoy that as a permanent style of dress, maybe?"
Shiroi gave Kaze a dismissive wave. "I tried to do that once. I got cold."
Kaze snickers, "I assure you, I could make sure another article of clothing never touched your body so long as you were in this tower. Your smartass remarks may be your undoing." with that he pointed at the scroll across the way. A pair of 'letters' flared to life and began expanding across the length of the scroll. Soon the entire wall seemed more a window into another place.
Shiroi seems to ponder that. "I don't know, while it does take a while of getting used to, it doesn't seem like all that horrible a trial... Then again clothing do provide more uplift... I alway did find it easier to be sexy semi-clothed than completely naked... but I digress." Silence falls once more as Razz gives up trying to understand Shiroi and Shiroi gives her full attention to the wall.
The scene is that of a battlefield. A large group of men assembled on the deck of an airship, firing large energy cannons at a dark blue scaled dragon. The dragon swoops around the ship and cleaves it in half with a swipe of a claw. The men fall screaming to the earth so very far below, "That, is my mother. Sort of."
Razz gazes upon the image, her lips parting. "Your mother...."
Shiroi gives it a nod.
Kaze shrugs, then points at another section. This too begins to enlarge, a screen of blue wiping out the previous image and replacing it with a human girl of about 20, "To be more precise, this is my 'mother', from which I was born."
Shiroi stares at the image. "So, are you her son like Ray is your son?"
Razz blinks.
Kaze scratches his chin and looks at the image, "I have a mother and a father. My mother wasn't able to have a child... She was barren." he points at the 'screen' and makes a motion, the image of the dragon interposing over the one of the female human, "So my 'mother' gave this human what she wanted. A child. This also gave my draconic mother an agent on 'this' world to help her get free of the prison she is locked in."
Shiroi nods. "Thought so."
Kaze shrugs indifferently, "As I said. I just wanted to tell someone. Lonely being the only one to know, you know." he lowered his hand and made a chopping motion, both images vanishing as the light receeded.
Kaze says: So now you know why I have that 'interesting' trait in my genes.
Shiroi nods again. "Interesting indeed. How did your draconic mother come to grant a human woman a child?"
Kaze smirks, "Magic, of course. My mother is quite the accomplished sorceress."
Shiroi's eyes rolls. "Of course, of course, silly me."
Kaze motioned absently towards the door as he raised his hand again, another image springing to life, "You two are excused now. I don't think I need to tell you to keep what you've heard to yourselves, hmm? Drop the robes where you wish, they'll be cleaned later. And don't worry. As I said, 98% of the tower is kept under watch. That 2% exception being this floor and the one above. The Chairmans. So no guards or cameras will see you when you change out of the robes."
Kaze pauses, "Oh.. and don't talk to Ray. He's in a rather foul mood right now."
Shiroi nods once more. "They'll just see us change every other day when we shower and sleep."
"And I kinda gathered that from our first meeting."
Kaze smirks, "No. Those tapes go to me directly. I would think you'd have assumed that already, knowing you, ms. Shiroi."
Shiroi smirks in return. "I assume, but I never know for sure. Mr. President."
Kaze glides fluidly to his feet and bows to Razz, "Thank you for your time, Razz. I'm glad you were able to stop in. I apologize for my rough manners and rude treatment. Specifically asking you to unrobe in front of me as you did."
Razz's face flushes at the acknowledgment, and she bowed her head, tongue-tied.
Shiroi coughs to get Razz's attention. "This way, madame."
Kaze hops off of the rock and approaches Razz, "One moment."
Shiroi pauses, stopping at the door.
Razz stayed in her spot, her eyes still glued to the spot in front of her shoes.
Kaze steps up to Razz, smiling at her gently, he then leans forward, lifts her chin and very gently kisses her on the lips, "I'm glad you are safe. I do want you to know that, even if I do act like I do."
Razz's eyes widened, shocked by the kiss. She spends a moment staring at Kaze, and looks down again. "A-ah... thank you..." she stammered, her face flushed a deeper shade of scarlet.
Razz presses a hand over her lips.
Kaze chuckles, shaking his head as he turned away, "Didn't think I was that bad. Oh well, I'd best go back to my work before I frighten you any more than you already are."
Shiroi merely smirks, and coughs, again, to get Razz's attention. "This way, madame."
Razz follows behind Shiroi, her head bowed and her hand still over her lips. It was... strange... no one had ever done that to her before...
Kaze pauses and casts a glance over his shoulder at Shiroi, "I'm glad you know when to keep your mouth shut." he says, a rather obvious threat in the one eye Shiroi can see, before he returns to sit upon the rock in the center of his sand garden, another picture of a great platinum colored dragon appearing.
Shiroi merely raises a hand in acknowledgment before the door closed behind her and her mistress.
