Throne Room
This long, high-vaulted room is lavishly decorated. A simple, yet still intricately carved throne dominates the north side of the room, its light wood and marble face standing out easily against the dark tapestries which line the wall behind it. A smaller throne sits offside of this, made of a darker type of wood, and without the marble inlay. Running from that throne, all the way out the door, is a velvet carpet of crimson, over which sits a cherry wood meeting table in front of the throne itself. A few deep-cushioned chairs sit to either side of that table.
Random servants and maids go about keeping things clean, some fluff cushions and others dust off chairs. Kaze stands beside his throne, his arm resting idly against it as he looks up at the large tapestry on the wall, a rather thoughtful look on his face.
Kaze turns away from the image and sits down in his throne, draping his left leg over the thrones arm, his head resting on his hand as if waiting.
Justin's footsteps clack down the length of the throne room. Observing (what he remembers of) proper protocol, he stops at five paces from the throne, and bows. "Good day, ahh, Your Majesty."
Kaze shifts his face in his hand, his right eye peeking out from below his hair. The eye seems unfocused for a minute, then his pupil seems to swirl slowly inward aslowly inward as his vision refocuses, "Salutations, Justin. No need to bow, you are my guest."
Razz follows closely behind Justin, without saying much. She doesn't bow, however... it not as if she could see that it's the proper thing to do before a king. Anyhow, she's never really thought much of Kaze as a king.
Kaze shifts slightly, allowing his gaze to pass over Razz, then he lets his face slip back down into obscurity as it had been before either had entered the room.
Justin shrugs, elaborately. "Better safe than sorry. In any case," he draws a breath, "Razz and I have received an invitation to a wedding, and I fear we may have to take our leave of you soon."
Kaze lifts his head, lowering his leg to the ground and stands all in a single fluid motion, his face rather passive as he looks down at Justin.
Kaze snaps his fingers and a maid rushes up to him, holding a pack of some type, she then retreats as silently as she came. Kaze looks down at the pack.
Razz stood, waiting, silently wondering what caused the paused in conversation.
Kaze turns to the side, casting a glance at the tapestry behind the throne, the necklace around his neck giving off a bit of light, "Come here, Justin."
Justin approaches, mostly unconcernedly. "Ahhh... yes, Kaze?"
Kaze holds the pack out to Justin and drops it, not caring if he catches it or not as he turns away, he speaks mostly under his breath, "Supplies... medicine... a bit of gold, Just in case anything happens on your trip."
Razz followed, out of habit, and that she didn't like to stand alone in unfamiliar places.
Justin catches it with a minimum of awkward diving. "Thank you... very much, Kaze." He nods, and with effort recalls the rest of what he had to say. "We probably shall leave today. You've been a most gracious host."
Kaze speaks, though it sounds rather scripted, "It is I whom must thank you. You were charming guests to have stay at the castle. If you are ever in my kingdom again, It would be a pleasure to host yet again..."
Kaze clenches and unclenches his hand under his cloak, the minute bits of shadowy subtances forming and unforming in his hand. He mutters something under his breath in Cardian and the lance solidifies, but then the necklace around his neck flares brightly and Kaze visibly flinches, the lance vanishing from his grasp.
Justin's conditioned calm keeps him from shying away, although this particular display does little to help his overall opinion of Kaze and his aims. "Ahh... are you alright?"
Razz's attention was attracted by Kaze's manipulation of - whatever he's manipulating. She kept her attention closely on Kaze, wondering what he's doing.
Kaze glances up at the image adorning the wall, his eyes unfocusing for a minute... He then promptly turns around, his face taking on a more pleasant tone, "If you two would like, I can either send an escort with you, or I can help in moving you from the city without others noticing..."
Justin has a brief internal argument about the necessity, but it resolves in Kaze's favor. "An inconspicuous exit might be best, I think..."
Kaze nods, casting a glance over at a maid by the wall whom promptly exits through a side wall, "When you are ready to depart, speak with the maid whom has been attending you. Not the guards mind you, I can't guarantee whom they are loyal to..."
Razz wondered very much at Kaze's words... "Is something wrong?" She asked.
Justin nods, slowly, retreats a few steps, and pauses when Razz speaks. He assumes parade rest behind her, and waits, patiently.
Kaze pauses for a moment, pacing slowly in front of his throne, a frown on his face, "I wish you'd wait til you're excused before stepping back, I wish to have a word with you in private, Justin." Kaze then motions to a spot behind the throne, near the rather large tapestry.
Justin mumbles something about thinking protocol had been dispensed with, and steps forward around the throne, giving the tapestry a glance, and then a longer look.
Razz follows, naturally.
Kaze glances at Razz then grabs Justin by the front of the shirt, jerking him almost off his feet as he whispers something harsh, almost like a command, then he begins speaking quieter, seemingly explaining something.
Razz started at this, but said nothing. Doesn't know how to react, most likely.
Justin left hand sparks red for a brief moment, but, again, conditioning overrides instinct, and he stills himself, listening carefully.
Kaze lets Justin go and turns brushing off the front of his cloak idly, "Sorry about that, It was the easiest way." he then turns and walks back around the throne.
Justin nods, slowly, and fixes his collar. "I assure you, failing would be the end of me anyways, one way or another." He follows Kaze around the throne, collecting Razz as he passes, and continues for the door.
Razz turned her face back and paused before the door. "Goodbye... thank you for everything," she called back.
As Justin exits, two men walk into the throne room and passed him. One is a well dressed man wearing an overcoat over his shoulders, and another younger counterpart donningyounger counterpart donning more casual wear and glasses. As Razz and Justin pass them, the younger man looks over at the two, as if to study them.
Kaze barely whispered as he turned back to stare at the tapestry again, "Farewell..." his eyes unfocusing as he returns to his thoughts.
Kesnick says, "Kaze, good to see you again." Kaze turns around, his eyes snapping into focus, "Ah, how are you gentleman?"
