Training Room
This room is a long plain wooden room constructed in the style of a japenese dojo. A few random training dummies litter the room, and a rack of shinai with a sign next to it is off to your left.
In response to movement, the lights in the dojo illuminate themselves as Velias takes a step in, looking around. He walks over to the center of the dojo and nods.
Velias says, "Still in tact, I see. Excelent."
Shiroi's voice can be heard, muttering. "What is it with the fascination with japanese dojos...?? First world, japanese dojos. Second world, japanese dojos. Third world... heh. Can we have enough of these dojos? No of course not...." Shiroi cracked her neck and stretched as her mumbling came to an end. "Hello, Velias, wonderful day, isn't it?"
Velias says, "Hello Shiroi. As for the Dojo, the last President favored Dojos, so he had one built. Of course, after his dissaperance when Kaze came around, we just shut down this floor."
Shiroi laced her fingers together behind her back and rocked back and forth on the sole of her feet. "Mmhmm, I sees."
Velias says, "Anyway, I figured it would do for the start of the training."
Shiroi nods dutifully. "Coolies. So, what will we start on?"
Velias says, "Before I give you any of our weapons, I want to see how you handle yourself in battle. That will determine what you shall recieve in terms of weaponry."
Velias says, "Any questions?"
Shiroi stood on the tips of her toes, as any self-respecting gymnaist can do, and nodded again. "Fair enough... fair enough... Somehow my life just keeps on repeating itself here..."
Shiroi tilted her head. "Just one, how will you be seeing how I handle myself in battle?"
Velias says, "I shall fight you personally."
Velias says, "Though, for the purposes of seeing what you are capable of, I shall give myself a suitable handicap."
Shiroi tilted her head back and groaned. "Well, that's always a relief...." mutter mutter, never anything easy.
Velias says, "If you prefer more of a challenge, I can have one of our guards substitute."
Shiroi make out a dry laugh. "Well, I'd generally think that someone capable of tossing grand bolts of lightning around is more than enough of a challenge."
Velias chuckles
Velias nods, "Very well. Care to have the honors?"
Shiroi releases a dramatic sigh. "I must say, I usually refrain from taking the initiative..."
Shiroi unlaces her fingers, and drop them to her sides, shifting her weight from one foot to another.
Velias drops into a defensive stance.
Shiroi stretchs, pops some joints, then proceeds to stroll up to Velias, casually reaching a hand up to his face.
Velias grabs that hand, spins around on his heel, and flips Shiroi over his shoulder.
Shiroi , as she flew through the air, grabbed the arm that held her with her other hand, and, as she landed on her feet, spun away from Velias, carrying the force of the momentum with her, and jerked viciously, dislocating the arm that had held her.
Velias leaps a few feet away, grasping his broken arm with his other, though, in a matter of seconds, a green glow eminates from the hand holding that broken arm.
Velias says, "Very good. Quite spontanious, just as I expected."
Shiroi asks: Sooo... are we done...?
The green glow fades away, and Velias moves the previously broken arm around, as if it were as good as new.
Velias hmms thoughtfully for a second, "Well, that was a bit faster than I expected." He laughs a bit, "All that deskwork must have made me rusty." sayooc ... and for some reason my grammar have been slipping away even worse than usual.
Velias says, "Lets try one more time."
Velias drops into a defensive stance and says, "Come at me again."
Shiroi nods, sways from side to side for several moments, then bursts into a speed rush at Velias, then lashing out at his legs with a powerful sweep, followed up by a power-pummel in his mid-section.
Velias leaps up to avoid the legsweep, into a backflip and back to the ground again, before charging in low to deliver a fast jab to Shiroi's own midsection.
Shiroi halts the jab with a iron-grip, and her right leg flies up and smashes into Velias' head, followed by the other leg, which clamped down on his neck, bringing his body down with her own weight, while still keeping a tight grip on his arm.
Velias attempts to free that arm by forcing it out of Shiroi's hand.
Shiroi keeps her vice-like grip on the arm, and clamps down harder on Velias' neck with her legs, practically stretched out on top of Velias' form.
Velias squirms a bit, but then attempts to sit up, attempting to get leverage to stand.
Shiroi shifts her weight forward, and firmly sits him down again. "Soo... Are we done....? Or are you going to fry me... or am I suppose to break your arm again?"
Shiroi clamps her legs closer, strangling Velias. "Or do I have to show you that my legs aren't just for people to oogle at...?"
Velias coughs a bit, then says, "Nah, I give up."
Shiroi leaps up and flips backwards in a neat little circle, on her feet again.
Velias stands up, rubbing his neck a bit, "I was dead on when I chose you, Shiroi. You are quite skilled at battle."
Velias says, "Yes, I'm sure not a one of our enemies would know what to expect from you."
Shiroi smirks, quite sourly. "Flattery, flatteries. I'm not really all that unpredictable once people have seen me fight."
Velias says, "Well it's deffinately a change of pace from all the people trying to stab you to death."
Velias says, "Anyway, enough with the flatteries, as you call them."
Shiroi chuckles. "Knives aren't always around, my limbs are a tad bit more reliable and just as effective."
Velias nods, laughing a bit, "I see."
Velias says, "Well, now for something a bit more interesting."
Velias walks over to the dojo wall and slides a panel away, pressing a few buttons. In a matter of seconds, a hollographic window displaying a picture of Eikigou appears.
Velias walks back over to Shiroi, "I believe you remember this person. His name is Eikigou, and he currently commands the Royal Guard of Coneria."
Shiroi folds her arms together, and nods. "Yes, we've met. He didn't like me. A pity, really."
Velias says, "In addition, he leads the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, an Order which died with it's leader, Garrison DeLevine. Eikigou has revived it, however, with a more idealistic approach."
Shiroi raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Velias nods, "Yes, he believes Power is the only truth in life, and thus seeks to gather it."
Shiroi nods. "The man has a brain."
Velias says, "The Board of Directors sees him as a potential threat to Darkwood. Not that I really care anymore, I believe an assignment of killing Eikigou would prove to be a better test of your powers."
Shiroi raises an eyebrow. "Kill Eikigou, huh?"
Velias nods.
Velias says, "Unfortunately, the power he seeks has driven him mad. And an insane person usually demonstrates more unpredictability than the normal human being."
Shiroi ponders this. "I haven't seen him fight, but something about him tells me that he wields certain powers... superior than mine, to put it simply." She places her hands on her hips. "How do you expect that I go about doing this?"
Velias says, "However you wish."
Shiroi says: I see.
Shiroi tossed her hair back, and rolled her eyes. "Madness is relative... Upredictability only has so many advantages, you'll note."
Velias grins, "A piece of wisdom only you would speak, Shiroi. Once you kill him, if you wish, I shall bestow upon you whatever powers you wish."
Velias says, "Well, that's about it, I suppose."
Shiroi throws her head back and laughed. "Ha! Wisdom!" She grined. "You, Velias, are mad to think that there is a possibility of a brain in this pretty little head. But no matter..." She hums. "Ah, one more thing."
Velias says, "Hmm?"
Shiroi says: About my other training, as the head of security. Do I have your consent to engage in some self-study amongst the equipments? Seeing as how you'd alienated my trainer and she would no longer be able to assist me anymore..."
Velias nods, "Sure. Feel free. Though there will be a few things you'll find you won't be able to access. We've learned our lesson from Alfghar."
Shiroi grins, quite disturbingly. "Don't worry, I promise to break everything."
Velias chuckles, "Very good."
Velias bows, "Well, if you'll excuse me."
Shiroi performs a sweeping bow. "Until the next time, then."
Velias walks towards the door, then stops for a second, "Ah yes. I almost forgot."
Shiroi asks: Myes?
Velias says, "The nanomachines within my body are capable of restoring any limb of mine rendered useless. As such, I would relish another opportunity to spar with you again."
Velias says, "My usual opponents are quite boring."
Shiroi offers a brilliant smile. "Aah... So, I am allowed to break your neck when I get the chance?"
Shiroi asks: Or would that still prove fatal?
Velias chuckles, "Some have tried."
Shiroi nods. "I see. Well, I shall have less inhibitions about limb breaking then. Good day."
Velias nods, then leaves the dojo.
Shiroi looks up. "Kill Eikigou... someone's horribly unpopular here. Well, we shall see..." She snrked, almost contemptously, before following Velias' example out.
