Photo of the green fridge, (pre-magnet days) with grandma Curtis Bonnie and I at the farmhouse. The Green Fridge
(well "Avocado" then)
The green information and memo board.Inside, everything is preserved.
There is order:
Vegetables on the right,
Fruit on the left.
The door shelves have rows of jam, mustard and eggs,
Like soldiers lined up for inspection. On the outside, magnets plaster the surface.
Hardly any green can be seen.
Magnets with city names; souvenirs
From vacations and travels.
Chore lists and comics for humorous entertainment.
Some are stories of life, learning a lesson from each.Fruit men magnets, carrot magnets, bird magnets, flowers,
Cows, lions, geese, owls, hot-dogs, peanuts, Murphy Molar,
Mice killer whales and rainbows.
There are more, wondrous variety, just like the world.Pictures that children have drawn.
Proud parents have displayed them.
Memos, notes, agendas, reminders,
They all cluster on the fridge.Everything is chaos, unorganized on the outside,
So different from the inside.
