- Involved in the design and development of a Multi-user Database Application to provide a user-friendly interface for creating and tracking Government Engineering Assignments, internal man-hour planning and project status tracking. Responsible for complete requirement analysis, data-model design, coding and debugging, report generation, software testing and customer interfacing. Primary focal for this project which affects all areas of Engineering in our division. Received extremely favorable feedback from end-users in a mid-project review. This project uses Visual Basic 5.0, MS-Access 97, OLE Automation and several third-party custom controls.

  - Responsible for the design and development of the Stratotanker Condition Analysis and Logistics Evaluation (SCALE) system under a contract from the U.S. Air Force. The SCALE system is a complex database software application utilizing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and Object Oriented Software Development (OOSD) methodology using INGRES 4GL in a Client-Server environment. This is intended to perform as a tool to record, monitor, analyze and document maintenance information for KC-135 aircraft in order to provide a quick reference to maintenance records and enable assessment of structural damage on the service life of each individual aircraft by serial number.
- Developed a GUI application in Visual Basic 4.0 to extract data from the Flight Data Recorder of the B-52 and KC-135 Aircraft and provide input to a Ground Post-processor UNIX machine for further processing.

- Webmaster for the Client-Server Appliccatiion Development Group. Maintenance of internal Web pages to keep information up to date.

Involved in the design and incorporation of configuration changes for the 747-200 and 747-400 aircraft to freighter models. Responsibilities included assessment and evaluation of design requirements, establishment of design criteria and objectives for airframe empennage and structure, drawing layout and release, investigation and incorporation of design improvements and certification of design for FAA regulations. Involved in several process definition/improvement teams. Developed, coded and implemented a numerical algorithm to mathematically model the Euler equations of fluid flow in order to investigate the characteristics of mixing in high-speed layers under a NASA research grant. Studied the effect of weak pressure and density waves on these layers to enhance mixing capabilities in a scramjet engine configuration.
