Refractor Piggyback

When imaging, it is frequently convenient to have two telescopes piggybacked together. That permits viewing through one of them while the imaging camera is connected to the other. In particular aiming new object is a task that benefits from having the finderscope. The Astro-Physics rings for the AP155EDF have a milled area for piggyback mounting. A dovetail plate was fabricated from 1/2" aluminum stock. It was attached to the AP rings via a interfacing block of aluminum. The dovetail plate is compatible with Losmandy rings. The pictures that follow show the dovetail plate mounted to the AP rings and AP155EDF with alternatively a Takahashi FSQ106 and a TV101 alternatively piggybacked atop the AP155EDF via Losmandy rings..
