To The Sister I Once Knew |
Little boy blue come blow your horn Please wake her from her sleep It's been ten years gone Don't you think that's long enough She has missed so much throughout the years Two brother, a sister So much laughter and too many tears Of course the tears were for her And other things as well And every Christmas, we ring a little bell So you can get your angel wings When I'm gone I'll miss these earthly things But you'll make up for that Sissy I miss you so much I bet you understand that I'll bet you miss me too Or at least I hope you do I long to see you each day You have kept me from running away Do you think I'm beautiful Daddy does And he says that you would be too I tell him that you are Cause I can see you Your pretty gold hair Big brown eyes And a smile just like Samantha's If you were still around I'd talk to you alot I'd tell you all my troubles And then I'd listen to yours We would probably share a room And it could be our secret place To hide from the aliens in space I get the vision that your kinda short But of the good sort You will be a beautiful sight In front of your mansion Surrounded by light I really have to go now I'll talk to you again Love, Taby |
This is the first of several poems that I'll be posting that have been written by my oldest daughter who wrote this at the age of only 12. As with all my children, she makes me so proud to be her father. |
