Live Without |
Where has all the love gone The love that once eluded me for so long Found for a moment and then slipped away Like the green leaves turning brown on a Fall's day Falling, spiraling, in an uncontrolled spin Losing the game of love once again Heart sinking as a mighty ship will do Feeling screams of pain in my heart through and through Longing, lonely, and lost as can be Floating away in a sea of misery Waiting for a glimpse of land called love Hoping and praying to see a single sign from above To hold someone and look into her eyes To see her soul, like the brilliance of a sunrise To hear the words and know they're felt These are the things I long for to make my frigid heart melt Chances are love will rear it's head someday again But will I let the hurt from the last one end Can it ever tear down the walls that I've built Erase all the pain, the hurt, the guilt Oh how I long for the chance to see For just a chance for someone to love the real me Take me for who I am and not change a thing To allow me to share and take part in their dream Will love take me for a ride one more time Or forever alone to wonder, is what I'll find Battle scars across my heart and soul Wars of love and confussion, seems all I know So for now I'll just live day by day With the pain and lonliness never too far away I'll try to breathe in and breathe out But as for true love...I still live without Darrin L.
