| Time slipping away so quietly Wondering where it will lead me To love and life of happiness Or down the road of failure and lonliness I've given all my time and energy Holding on to what could never be The love of a woman who could be my wife Only to be pushed from her life Wanting and longing has left me cold Feeling weary, tired and old Fighting to keep death alive Searching for a spark in her eyes Only to see that she no longer burns for me So I'm letting go of what could never be Knowing now, her heart has left again Feelings and emotions in a free fall spin Setting my heart and mind free I guess this is what is meant to be Another scar to bear within In wanting search of Love once again |
