Small Town Life |
Small town days pass by with ease Warm sunshine, cool summer breeze Watchin' the neighbors walk on by A singin' bird catchin' your eye Not a worry to mess with Everything you could want, nothin' missed Kids playin' in the yard after dark Hearin' the coyotes' howl and bark Fishin' on a lazy Sunday afternoon Not a care of bein' anywhere soon The smell of the fresh cut hay Sittin' on the porch the whole day Playin' ball in the front yard Nope, life's not all that hard Proud to call myself country Ain't no other way I'd wanna be Small town life is the way to go Where it's just plain, everyone you know No horns or bright lights Just a gentle voice and the stars at night So in this ol' small town I'll stay Just for forever and a day Raisin' my kids, the best I can do Teachin' them country, through and through Darrin L.
