Change Of Seasons Yet another summer has come and gone The flowers bloomed and faded in the sun The songs of nature begin to quiet down As silence falls upon the ground Winter and lonliness are on their way To darken my door and take my soul away Empty feelings come over me Blackness and doom are all I can see Wanting nothing more than happiness But my heart is in a terrible mess Not knowing what life holds in store What destruction love may bring to my door Holidays to be arriving soon Times of joy and singing happy tunes For me lies depression and despair Empty lonliness lingers in the air Missing family and long lost friends It all has seemed to come to an end Try as I may, happiness is not found My heart remains frozen like the cold white ground Maybe spring will start a new life of love and hope If only through this winter I can cope Longing to love and be set free From this drowning, cold wintery sea Darrin L.
