The station's handles have changed over the years, from "Say 98.5" to the "Say Team" (during a brief simulcast with Murfresboro-based WDLZ 98.3) and recently "Down East Country". The station was recently bought by Maryland-based First Media and changed their call letters to WDWG on December 26th, 2003, and identified as "Country 98.5" before becoming "The Dog".
