Yes, the show went on, and seeing the clouds of tire smoke rise into the air, Toby in his VN Commodore decides to try and put on a show.

Ok, not bad, smoke is good. He takes off in a cloud of tyre (or clutch??? something else was burning for a while!) smoke, and was later pulled over by the police for a tyre check.
Anyway, here come Shane in his VH Commodore. This car can pull off a burnout, but lately has been running into poles or gutters. Well here is Shane's effort:

The crowd watches in amazement, wondering 'when will the cops show up?'.  I think, ok, my turn, and with the water and crap left on the ground, I pull my Telstar up to the mark. To my suprise, it actually pulled a burnout, unlike the day before, and filled the insides of the car with smoke. Mental note : "pull the windows up next time!!". Damn, the camera is in my bag! So no picture of my car doing the dance of love.
Grant hasn't had enought yet, and decides to go again. His tyre is already bald, and we watch, wondering when it will blow. I didn't and he takes off up the road. Seconds later the police rock up, threating to arrest anyone who pulls another burnout. Damn, end of the show, but what a way for the school year to end, forever!!! I doubt the grade 12's next year will beat it.
