ANTONIETA ARAÚJO
CRYSTAL LAKE
In
front of its crystaline water
Numberless poets emerged,
Singing in verses all their tender pains,
Without hiding their most secret sadness.
Perhaps
neither noticing the great furnace
Of the sun hurting their face like arrows,
Nor feeling the nice rain that rinses
The rosary of anguish tears.
When
the night brings the enchantment
Of the stars with its wonderful moonlight
Sadness comes from the heaven.
And
a sweet inspiration let us to step back
Over the lake and it fulfils itself of poetry
To reflect the moon´s marvelous surface
