4 onions
butter
3 T flour
4 c beef stock
bay leaf
2 c white wine

bread 
garlic
mozz
swiss
gruyere


slice onions saute in butter on low till golden
sprinkle flour stir alot to avoid lumps
add stock leaf white wine simmer
for 45 min.

toast bread 
rub with garlic brush with butter

fill with soup
float toast
cover with cheese

put under broiler for bubbly cheese

serve with white wine and salad
or beer
