Ghost stood next to Razor, eyes wide as the Werewolf glanced about at the large number of candidates, all standing for the intermingled light and night green's clutchs. She snapped to attention, however, when the first egg started to hatch.
A spherical egg wobbled, and began to crack open. The dragon within pushed its way out calmly, sliding out into the sand, white hindquarters first. Only then did her purple head and shoulders appear. Quickly she got to her feet and began to trot towards the ring of candidates. Unfortunately, the hatchling’s patience wore thin, and she let out a howl of frustration. “I hear you, Aelabeth. I hear you.” A werewolf known as Ghost murmured, stepping out gingerly to meet the light purple.
Razor watched Ghost carefuly lead her beautiful dragonet off the red sands, and wondered if any such creature would pick him. Preferably one that was able to fly Aelabeth when she was older. Razor looked back to the sands with a sigh as his beloved dissappered out of view.
Next to hatch were two night creams, but then:
Another night dragon had kicked its shell apart, and without fanfare had slunk over to the ring of candidates. Everyone watched and wondered, but only one knew the night brown’s next move. Razor dropped to fours and shifted into the wolf form he was most comfortable in, and followed the hatchling out of the sands towards the fresh meat that was to be their first meal. Why are you following me, Razor? "Because you didn’t wait for me to lead, Eliekith." Razor replied with a canine grin on his dark muzzle.
Razor walked up to Ghost and pushed his canine muzzle into her hand Ghost let out a startled yelp and glanced down, then grined. Her light purple Aelabeth watching with swirling eyes, pawing the ground impatiently. So, this is Razor? I can see why you like him. His dragon is not bad either. Aelabeth whispered to her rider, who blushed. "Wow, he is just fantastic Razor!" She said out loud, kneeling to Eliekith, who nudged Razor. This is them? Wow. I'm hungry now though. "I'm going as fast as I can Eliekith! Yeah, your Aelabeth is just beautiful Ghost. I think this is the begining of our new lives." Razor murmered thoughtfuly. "I think so to Raz. We all belong together." Duh!
