Ka-la-na
A very potent dry red wine, made from the fruit of the Ka-la-na tree. Ka-la-na is red, however, if a Master asks for golden or white ka-la-na, serve it! The golden color refers only to the color of the wood/trees. “Good Ka-la-na”, Mulled, is stored in bottles and each one has a wax seal from Ar. The “cheap ka-la-na”, Kal-da, is kept in verr skin botas. Ar is the prime source for a good ka-la-na, only the best comes from Ar. Ka-la-na is reported to have an aphrodisiac effect on females and considered to be a symbol of romantic love. Like the wines of earth Ka-la-na varies from the very expensive ‘Slave Gardens of Anesidemus’, a medium-grade such as ‘Bloeto’s Nectar’, to the very inexpensive common table wine, simply called Ka-la-na.

~serve -When you serve warm or chilled ka-la-na prepare the wine in a goblet ( glass ). If you are serving warm, it is found in the servery. Chilled you will find it cooling room, depending on the price, either a bottle or bota. When serving it chilled always remember to ask if the Master wishes ice shards, or chips. Hot Ka-la-na is served in a clay bowl. Serving a FW always dilute the wine with water, 3/4 water to 1/4 wine, mixed in a crater.

Kal-da or cal-da

~serve - This is one of the easiest drinks to serve as it can always be found on the fire in a copper kettle. In the servery when you prepare the clay bowl to serve Kal-da remember to pick up some slices of tospit and larma to float in the top of the beverage.
