Feb. Fly of the Month
                                                            Yarn Fly

This fly is one of the best fly in the spring. I caught 70% of my fish in May last spring on yarn. You fish this fly the same as you would fish roe bags. The trick is to get your yarn to float just off the bottom maybe touching the odd time durning your float. If you get snag every cast you are fishing to close to bottom but if you don,t touch at all chances you are fishing too high and likely won't get any hits. If you are fly fishing try to dead drift this fly, but the same goes as for float fishing and get as close to the bottom as possible. If you see your strick indicator move set quickly. There are lots of colours to choose from and it depends on the mood of the fish. My favourite colour in the spring is a dirty white but chartruse, hot pink, peach  and sucker yellow are good colours to use. Blue and purple are good colours when the water hits below the 40f degree mark . Don't be afraid to use then Fall or Spring.
never hurts to have a good selection of flies
