For those of you's that don't know the history in how Pearl Jam camE about .. whErE thE hEll havE you BEEN¿ haha **just kiddin'** =ş .. it goEs a littl' somethan' likE this **takEs it away** - Gossard and AmEnt arE thE backbonE of PEARL JAM. ThEsE two wErE originally from a band callEd GREEN RIVER, but thE guys brokE up duE to crEativE diffErEncEs .. Gossard and AmEnt thEn got togEthEr with AndrEw Wood and formEd MOTHER LOVE BONE. ThErE was to bE a dEbut aLbum to comE out, but thErE also camE thE untimEly [and unfortunatE] dEath of Wood [hEroin ovErdosE in March 1990 .. Gossard and AmEnt formEd TEMPLE OF THE DOG as a tributE to Wood]
AftEr Wood's dEath, Gossard and AmEnt hookEd up with McCrEady [who's formEr band SHADOW had brokEn up and hE was spottEd by Gossard] and thE thrEE startEd jamming togEthEr and looked at gEttin' anothEr band togEthEr. ThEsE guys, along with Matt CamEron, startEd rEcordin' somE dEmos togEthEr and thought thEy had a good thing going, 'cEpt for onE thing .. thEy lackEd vocals¡ Gossard handEd thE dEmo's out amongst friEnds and with thE hElp of Jack Irons [thEn a formEr Red Hot Chili Pepper, who had suggEstEd VeddEr] thEsE dEmos endEd up in thE hands of VeddEr in San DiEgo. VeddEr dubbEd lyrics to thE dEmos and sEnt em back to thE guys in SeattlE. ImprEssEd with what thEy hEard, a jam sEssion was arrangEd in which VeddEr soon madE thE movE to SeattLE. Wastin' no timE, VeddEr startEd writing and rEcording with his nEw bandmatEs which by thEn, Dave KrusEn was rEcruitEd as thEir drummEr. Dubbing thEmsElvEs as "Mookie Blaylock" thE guys did a fEw small gigs .. latEr on with thE hElp of Rick Parashar [Producer/Engineer] thE guys rEcordEd thEir first profEssional dEmo tapE, and thEy latEr re-entErEd thE studios with Parashar to rEcord thEir dEbut Epic album "TEN". It was during this timE that thE guys changEd thEir namE to PEARL JAM [this **s'posEdly** camE from EddiE's Grandma Pearl's pEyote jam .. but who knows for surE .. it was said waay latEr by Ed, i think, that it was all about the "initals"¡] aftEr gEttin' complaints from thE baskEtbaLlEr [MookiE Blaylock was a New JersEy Nets' point guard at thE timE]

.. and so's thErE you havE it .. how Pearl Jam got togEthEr in short .. thErE arE no doubt, hEaps of sitEs out thErE which go into thEir history in a littl' morE dEpth .. but what's important, is that thE guys arE still hErE today as a band¡ =) It's just grEat to sEE thEsEdays thE guys sEEm alot happiEr and rElaxEd. All thE b.s is bEhind em .. thEy'rE survivors and arE still hErE today makin' grEaT music .. so who's to bE complainin'¿ =) .. dEfinatEly NOT mE¡ nuh uh **shakin' hEad** .. and i'm in no way alonE on that front¡ haha =) .. though .. thE day **will** evEntually arrivE whErE thEy bEcomE frEE agEnts, but until that day comEs ..
