JEFF WROTE: During the summer of 1978, I bought The Ramones 'Leave Home' on cassette at the Woolworths in Havre, Montana. I found I could pluck my sg copy along with most of the songs. Revelation! .. 'Rocket to Russia;' it's alive .. 'Road to Ruin' was on of three b-tracks playing all summer [1979] out at the Halfpipe. Their pure visceral punk power was my constant companion. When Joey died this year, I sat down and played Ramones songs on my acoustic. For the first time, I really felt the sadness and loneliness in Joey's lyrics. This homemade recording is my love letter and thank you to Joey + The Ramones for giving me a push. Thanks, Jeff.
