Using Kintera to get sponsors online is really easy! Just follow these directions and you're on your way to raising pledges for CROP WALK.
1. Go to the Red Bank CROP WALK's main page at Kintera ( Red Bank CROP WALK Kintera Homepage ). You can browse the site a little if you like, but when you're ready to move on, return to the walk's main page on Kintera and click on "Register Here" (The grey oval button in the center of the page).
2. Read the Waiver/Agreement. If you agree, click on "I agree" on the lower left. If you do not, click "I decline" on the lower right. Unfortunately, if you decline, you will not be able to use Kintera.
3. The next screen has four options: Start a team, Join a team, join as an individual, and register multiple people. If you are walking with a group (such as a high school, a church, or a business), you should join a team from that group. If no team exists for your group, talk to your recruiter. Recruiters from each organization are in charge of starting teams or delegating this responsibility. If you prefer, you can join as an individual. Also, by clicking on "Register Multiple People", you can add these people to an existing team, create a new team, or add each person as an individual.
Whatever you choose, click on the circle next to your choice.
If you select to join or start a group, you have an extra step. The new page that loads will look identical to the page you were just at to select how you want to join. However, there is some new information at the bottom. If you selected to join a group, you will need to select a group from a list. If you selected to start a group, you will need to enter the group's name, a monetary goal and a participation goal.
4. The next page that loads will ask you to provide your name, email, mailing address, and a personal goal. You will need to make a username and password. Please remember to write down this information so that you can use Kintera to its full potential. When you are done, click on "Continue."
5. At this point you're registered: Good Job! If you want to fundraise immediately, click "Start Here" on the page that loads (My Headquarters). You can edit a webpage that is generated for you, enter donations collected offline, email friends and family, and use a myriad of other tools designed to help you fundraise better.
6. When you're done, select "Logout", which appears under "My HQ" on the left menu.
To Login (after registration): Select "Main Login" under "My HQ" on the Red Bank CROP WALK's main page. Enter your username and password and you're back to your headquarters!
