Your next correspondence needs to be with the Board of Education or the Superintendent. Again, I say your information is based on rumor and hear say. How can I possibly respond to your impression of me. That is your opionion. I will maintain that I'm not necessarily here to be liked but rather to do a job. Nevertheless, if I personally threaten you I would ask that you make an appointment to see me. Perhaps I might dispell some of these ill feelings. Here me clearly, Peaceful, the job of the professionals in this building is to see that all students are academically successful and ultimately receive a regent's diploma. I will relentlessly pursue all strategies that ultimately achieve that goal. Research shows that class attendance and time on task are critical to to student success. I believe an aggressive attitude toward student movement between classes helps both attendance and punctuality, With regard to movement during lunch it has been stated to both the Student Leadership Council and the faculty that we do not begin to mointor the halls until 5 or 6 minutes after the last bell. This gives students a full 9 or ten minutes to get to lunch. Is that enough time for you? Anecdotally, I was at a workshop awhile ago and for the opening you had to describe what animal you most identify with. I chose a pitbull. Sorry, that's just the way I am. C****** |
