An English language dictionary buuilt using XML and XSL. The word data is stored in an xml file.

ending with the given phrase,
containing the given phrase,
exactly matching the given phrase

The raw HTML content is from The Online Plain Text English Dictionary (OPTED) is a public domain English word list dictionary, based on the public domain portion of The Project Gutenberg Etext of Webster's Unabridged Dictionary which is in turn based on the 1913 US Webster's Unabridged Dictionary.

Due to space limitations, I could not host this tool online. However you can download and run in locally.

All the following three files are needed for the tool to run.

Poet.zip (4 KB) - program files (htm, js, css)
data1.zip (2.5 MB) - dictionary data (xml)
data2.zip (2.7 MB) - dictionary data (xml)

You need to extract the three zip files into a folder and run the setup.bat in icluded in Poet.zip, which will basically join the two data files into one. After this, you can just open dictionary.htm in a browser to start using the dictionary.
