Here are the details of the add-ons and alterations I have performed.
Reactor Blue Underbody Lights
I purchased these lights off of Ebay and received them in perfect condition,
from what I could see. I placed them underneath the car in the most
concealed places I could find. Drilling the holes for the screws was the
hardest procedure to this modification. I broke 2 drill bits in this
process. The other hard part was wiring the inside of the car for the
switch. I placed the switch on the bottom side of the center console, next
to my seatbelt buckle. After putting the lights on I realized that the
back didn't work, and the right side was dim. I told the guy and he had me
send them back. I eventually got the replacements and the right one was
broken. It just so happens that the individual guy I bought them from had
to claim bankruptcy because he could not afford all of the broken lights coming
in. So I told myself to forget it and left the remaining two on my car.
I plan to buy some new ones, and better ones, to replace the existing ones.
If all 4 would work, my car would look great.
Farenheit Xenon Headlights (Low,
High, & Fog)
I purchased these headlights from
XenonMods and received them in a decent
amount of time. In a quad-light car like mine you have to modify the light
in order to get the bulbs swapped. For directions and pictures on how to
swap the lights click here. The model numbers you will need for high and
low are 9005 (High) and 9006 (Low). The fog lights for a BYP package car -
like mine - will be the H3 bulbs. To view the installation, click
here.
Custom Exhaust System
I purchased, with the help of my birthday at the same time, a complete exhaust
system from the catalytic converter back. I used different size piping and
the Dynomax Bullet mufflers. I took pictures while I was at the muffler
shop and to view them click here.
Lebra Car Bra
This bra was purchased off of eBay for not much at all. I bought it just
to see what it would look like. The picture isn't the best because the car
was dirty. I saw a Grand Prix with one on and liked
it. So I gave it a try. When I received it, I immediately installed
it. I took two people to install it correctly. I didn't have any
instructions to I attached it to what I thought was the right place. I
looked different, but good. It also helped that Love Bugs where swarming
everywhere. I had it on only for about 2 months before I pulled it off.
The reason was that the bottom part kept blowing up in the wind. The slots
for the light was not designed very well. If I traveled over 65mph the
wind would travel under the bra pulling the plastic pieces out of the dents
where the lights where. It became annoying to fix it almost everyday.
So when the bugs disappeared, so did the bottom part. I kept the hood bra
on because I think it looks nice. The bra is great for bugs, but that is
about it. When the bugs come back out, so will the bra.
