Shane's A One Off!
Exclusive by Laura Benjamin
Shane Lynch's new band, Redhill, have launched their live career - by playing just ONE song.

The former Boyzone singer performed live with the rap outfit for the first time on Saturday night.  But fans were left bemused when they played one of the shortest sets in pop history.  After just one song, the show was over for Shane's band - which also features former Phats & Small star Ben Ofoedu.

The performance, billed as "Shane Lynch rapping with Redhill" took place at the trendy Fez Club in Hull.  A source said: "Shane and Redhill came on stage and everyone was really keen to see what the performance would be like.  But they managed to sing only one song, which hasn't even been named yet.  It appears to be the only one in their repertoire. Then they walked off."  The 650-strong audience was disappointed to say the least.  Our source continued: "It was quite a coup getting Redhill to perform their first live show.  It's a shame they couldn't stay on stage for a bit longer."  Redhill announced last month that they were on the verge of signing a major record deal.  Strangely, there have been no further details released sine then.

Still, matters are looking up on the personal front for Shane - the war between him and his former bandmate Ronan Keating is over at last.  Ronan was blamed by the rest of Boyzone for pulling out of a reunion tour, a move said to have cost them £1 million.  In an interview with AAA back in June, Shane, 25, even claimed if he met Ronan again he would "thump him on the nose."  Now Ronan says they have put it all behind them.  He said: "Shane and myself met up in London, and we talked and made up."  The singer also said he was pals again with other ex-bandmates Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Stephen Gately.  He added : "Out of nowhere, Mikey called me on the mobile to say 'Hi'. Then I bumped into Keith and we had a good chat.  So I made the final move and called Stephen, and we are all going to hook up for a drink."  Even so, Ronan insisted there will NOT be a Boyzone reunion:  "We are not touring. We are just going to be mates again."
