It's time for ECAC fans to express their opinions.   You can do it anonymosly, or you can let others see who said what.  Simply e-mail me at Redraider013@yahoo.com with the answer to the following question.  Sign the e-mail as you want it to appear on this page, or within the game itself.  The answers will be posted here as they come in.

The question for the week of November 19th is "Which team other than your own would you like to see win this game, and which team will you be the happiest to see lose?" And of course why.

  Who Should Win?

Well, I personally would like to see Brown win (that is of course only
if Cornell ABSOLUTELY CANNOT win) because they were at the bottom of the league the last few years and have been battling back this year. I can see
their potential and I admire their struggle. Furthermore, as was demonstrated
this past week-end, though their fans may not be large in number they are
vocal and act on their impulses, leading to extra excitement and fun.
Stealing signs, employing children as hecklers, wearing mugs of beer on your
head, etc all in the name of hockey has to be rewarded.   -Melissa

If Colgate cannot win, I gotta pull for Union.  They are very simmilar to us in a few ways, an excellent school without athletic scholarships.  I don't think I've ever met someone from Union I didn't like.  And one of our assistant coaches was a former ECAC coach of the year at Union.  They play tough every game.  It's a hard school to recruit for, but they don't give up.-    Gary

Who Should Lose?

Because of the long-standing hockey rivalry between Cornell and Harvard
I would love to see them out of the picture. They have few fans and those
that they do have are neither vocal nor original and thus not very exciting.
If it weren't for the excitement that Cornell fans brought to the
Harvard/Cornell games then playing Harvard would be boring. Their fans
(if you can call them that) contribute NOTHING in terms of humor,
atmosphere and general school spirit. It is fans like these that give the ECAC the
"who? whatever! no one else cares" reputation. Thus, THEY MUST GO!

The most arrogant and obnoxious fans in the league are from Cornell.  Clarkson can come close, they taunt a lot, but they expect to be taunted back, and generally have a better sense of humor about it.  I don't think the Cornell people fully understand how little they are liked at times.  Rather than giving a long list of stuff I don't like about their team or fans, I'll just say I'd be happiest to see them out.   -  Gary
