From time to time I will be posting a new story in the bleachers. Most of these stories will be pretty random, and will deal with such things as random baseball/Red Sox thoughts from yours truly, stories of something Red Sox related that happened to me, or just anything else baseball/Red Sox related that I feel like writing.

My 1st story here will be a short, but very good one. This occurred about 2 to 3 weeks ago while I was going to lunch at my school's, Providence College, cafeteria.

I went over to the Entrée line to order my meal. Actually it wasn't really a line because no one was there. Anyhow, I was wearing my red fitted Red Sox cap as always. The guy serving me looks at my hat and inquires about me being a Red Sox fan. I obviously respond with a quick yes. He then begins talking about how he hates the Red Sox and can't stand them. At this point I'm thinking to myself "oh god, if there's another #$%!ing Yankees fan at this school…" Another guy working in the cafeteria walks by and jumps in on the conversation saying how's he's a Red Sox fan and this is our year. Which of course it is. The conversation goes on while my lunch is being made, a pastrami sandwich incase anyone was wondering. Now here's the kicker. As the guy hands me my sandwich he looks at me and says something like "You know who I hate more than the Red Sox? Those blood sucking Yankees! Man I just can't stand those bunch of a-hole crybabies. That's the only time I root for the Red Sox, when they play those god for-saken Yankees! Baseball should just erase them from the slate."

So Red Sox fans, this just goes to show that no matter who you are, deep down inside everyone is a Yankee hater!
