Yet another great effort on the mound wasted by the bats. Yet another pitcher that the rest of baseball has had no problems with except us. Yet another night of uneventful play. Was it just me or did anyone else notice that before last night the Sox had won four of their last five?
I definetly didn't notice, but that's probably because the games have been so uneventful (no offense) that when the final out is made and we have the win, I have to wipe the sweat off my brow and calm down for the night.
After a rocky start Jeff Fassero was awesom, he had ten strikeouts, nuff said.
The most glaring stat of the night, as had been the case for the last three months, was the LOB total, thirteen. But wait it gets worse, of those thirteen left on, eight were in scoring position with two-outs. So what does that say? Hmmm... I think one word will sum it up. ANTI-CLUTCH!
We're 1-1 on the homestand right now and I said i'd reserve judgement after it was over. We may have won the first game of the series but so far i'd say it hasn't gone well.
Rolando Arrojo will make his fourth start in a Sox uniform against Ryan Rupe tonight. Looks like Rupe is next in line to look like an all-star. Game time 7:05pm EST.
