August 22 vs Angels
Lost 11-4

  • Sorry about the late update today (9:45am EST) I have the late shift at work today so I caught a few extra winks. I also figued not many would be flocking here to read about how we got ourselves spanked last night.

Tim Wakefield has been having a rough go of it of late, I think his winless streak is up to seven starts now. He hasn't pitched poorly in all those games, but last night he did.

The Halos opened the game with a 4-0 lead thru one and a half innings. But the Red Sox being the come back kids they've been lately stormed back to tie the game at four after four. But then in the top of the fifth the flood gates opened. Wakes combined with Pichardo, who later relieved Wakes in the inning, to give up six more runs. As much as I though we could still bounce back and win this game, it just didn't happen.

We're playing well though, and we've been winning alot of games of late, sometimes you hit a roadblock or two. The fact that I still had hope when the score went 10-4 says something about the team, and the confidence shift that is happening.

Both the A's and Yanks lost so we didn't lose any ground, though i'm getting a bit tired of saying that. I guess it's better than both of them winning instead.

ESPN.com has Tomokazu Ohka on the mound tonight, I though it was Pedro, but I guess i'm wrong. Ohka has looked real good in his last two starts and the Angels counter with "little pedro", we better be ready to enact some revenge. Game time 7:05pm EST.
