July 16th vs Expos
Won 5-2

Lets go ahead and make it 4-0 since Wakefield has been reinserted into the rotation. You know i'm having alot of trouble finding all those Wakes bashers now, hmmmm.

Yesterday the Sox made it two wins in a row, three of four since the break, and four of five going back to the last game before the break. So even though it just doesn't feel like it, the Sox are winning again. Yesterday seemed a little different though, i'm not sure how many of you felt this as well, but I wasn't worried at all about the Sox winning. I haven't felt like that in a while, a long while, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

As I stated above Time Wakefiled ran his record to 4-0 since returning to the rotation. Wakes went another seven strong allowing only four hits, one earned run, three walks, and two strikeouts. Basically he had the Spos off balance all day, his only real mistake was throwing a knuckler that didn't knuckle to Vladimir Guerrero. Finishing up the game on the mound was John Wasdin, who for the second straight appearnace pitched pretty well, as he threw the last two innings and yeilded only a walk. Unfortuantely this just further proves that Wasdin can only pitch well when the pressure is off.

The big bat of the day came from Carl Everett, one day removed from bumping and head-butting the ump on Saturday. The impending punishment (suspension and fine) has not been handed down yet, but most are speculating ten games at the least. So Carl is getting his hacks in while he can, as he went 2-2 with a double, homer, two RBIs, and two walks. Carl was also flashing the leather a bit yesterday as well, making a couple of sly plays in center.

Tonight's game has Jeff Fassero on the hill for game two of the series. This game is huge, if we can grab this one, we have Pedro on the mound tomorrow. No matter which way you put it, if that happens, we have ourselves a bonafide winnig streak. Tonight's game is scheduled for a 7:05pm EST start.
