OK guys, lets nip this in the but now. Enough of the squandering opportunities thing, we did that the whole month of June, and guess what, it doesn't work.
Wakefield was far from stellar last night and the pen didn't exactly hold the lead, but we had James Baldwin and the Chi-Sox on the ropes more than a few times and got nothing out of it. If we're going to make any head-way in this race we have to pull games like that out. When Jose Valentin makes an error to prolong an inning, we have to tale advantage, not allow him to redeem himself by turning a DP.
Ah, what can be said? We lost, deal with it and move on I guess. Troy O'Leary continues his torrid pace though, seems he's making up for the non-exsistant first half he had. We're going to need it to catch the Yanks, keep it up Troy.
It's been two nights in a row that Hipolito Pichardo has yeiled a run, and I don't think it's because the teams are better or that he's been figured out. I think he may have been over-worked just a bit. Give him a couple of days off Jimy, he needs it, and we need him to play his role.
Well we have an opportunity to jump back on the winning band wagon as the White Sox run a rookie out there on the mound against Jeff Fassero tonight (game time 5:05pm EST). We need to get a good solid outing from Jeff, and then follow with Pedro tomorrow. Well catch the Yanks, it's only a matter of time.
