I was completely detached from the world of baseball over the weekend, but it didn't take long, after reviewing the boxscores, that the Sox are back up to their non-hitting ways.
Since I didn't see any of yesterday's game it's tough to comment on it. But just from the boxscore I think I can safely say that Rolondo Arrojo's Sox debut was not awful, but it wasn't very good either. A grand-slam to a .180 hitter?
Giving up five runs is never a good thing, but if the offense would just get a bit more consistant, we still could have won that game. In an age of baseball where a 4.50 ERA is considered decent, scoreing five or six runs shouldn't be such a chore.
Ah, what can you do? The road trip started off great with two wins to start that series. But now it has turned to mediocre and things aren't going to get any easier, as we head on into Seattle tonight at 10:05pm EST.
