You know if we can snag tonight's game we can call it a bonafide winning streak. The bats were out in full force again last night as the Sox thumped the Twins again 14-4. Tim Wakefiled had his second straight good outing in a row, and also has two of the Sox last four wins.
The big bat of the night belonged again to Troy O'Leary, who seems glad to be back with the team and playing ball. Troy followd up his almost cycle on Monday with another 3-5 night, 2R, a homer, and three more RBIs.
Newcomer Bernard Gilkey also provided some big O for the Sox going 3-4 a homer, 2R, and 4RBIs. All this coming after going one for his last fourty-one with the Diamondbacks, before his release.
The whole offense was clicking in general again last night as Jose Offerman, and of all people, Manny Alexander also hit home runs. Carl Everett picked up three hits and Nomar, Tek, Offy, and Burkhart all had two hits a piece.
So far it looks like the Twins have been the right medicine for the Sox bats. That and the return of O'Leary in the line-up and Pedro on the bench has seemed to put some air back in those tires.
Tonight game, scheduled for a 8:00pm EST start, will mark the return of Jeff Fassero off the DL. Hopefully we have somthing to build on here, and things will start to take off.
