Cr'son
&
Green Phloeth

Cr'son sat on the ledge of his weyr and watched Phloeth as she swam with a few other young dragons in the Weyr Lake. He sighed, and made a place for Iolan on his lap when the brown popped out of /between/.

Iolan

He stroked the flit absently, his eyes still on his dragon. She was smaller than most of the other dragons she was palying with...even the greens...but Weyrlingmaster C'gall had told him that there was nothing wrong with her. She was just small. Not that it mattered to him...he'd just never really noticed it before.
He sighed again...he tried to think of anything but Braden. It usually worked too...for a little while anyway. He'd had the nerve to send Cr'son a message saying that Sr. Queen Bularith had clutched at Tiamat...Braden was the last person he wanted to hear something like that from. It was as if he were angry at Cr'son for not waiting for Bularith's clutch.
If you had waited...you would not have me. Phloeth stopped her splashing and looked in the direction of her rider.

Phloeth

I know that dear-heart...and I don't want to change anything. I wouldn't want any other dragon but you. He reassured her. He smiled a little as she started to splash around again. He really needed to just forget Braden all together...it was over...
You get sad when you think of him...You should not be sad. Do not worry rider-mine...when I am ready to fly...you will have the very best mate...who will not make you sad. She looked towards him again and bugled her sincerity, then dove under the water to chase a bronze that had splashed her.
Cr'son smiled a little, feeling a little better after hearing Phloeth. He didn't want to think about how he'd be dealing with this if he didn't have her. He leaned back a little, careful not to wake Iolan, and continued to watch his precious dragon swim.
