You MUST...M-U-S-T have a weyr(page) ready for your dragon. No desk-top dragons here. No site...no dragon. I don't want any disappearing mysteriously /between/ ok?
Correct Spelling - I'll be checking. If I find anything, I'll let you know.
Originality - If I notice anything that looks familliar...you'll know about it. Copying lowers your chances of Impressing higher ranking colors...and Impressing in general. So...don't do it.
Ease of Reading - If you are using neon colors...or any other combination that is hard to read or makes my eyes hurt...forget it. Either change the colors...or forget the dragon.
Must Relate to Pern - I know I'm repeating myself...cause I said this up above...but if your page has nothing to do with Pern...why are you here? Pern pages only. No unicorns, fountians, gryphons, elves, or other mystical creatures are found on Pern...so don't put them on your page.
Details - I want to get a feel for your persona's personality...and maybe have some idea of what he/she looks like. The more detail, the better chance you have at Impressing. A day in their life or the story of their Search are good things to put on the page. I don't just want a stat list.
Personas must be Pernese. This should be a given. No magic users, faeries, people with silver hair and violet eyes. No goddesses or dieties. No perfect characters either. You may have the Pernese life-style up to par...but if your character is flawless in every way...I'm just going to turn you away.
Your persona's age should be between 12 and 25. No old men or toddlers please...and thank you.
"Pets". You can have them...but they must be Pernese. Firelizards, runnerbeasts, felines, and/or canines. A heardbeast if you so desire. Just a few things though. No more than three. Dragons don't like to be crowded...and they need a lot of care. Runnerbeasts and heardbeasts take a lot of time to care for, so they aren't recommended for dragonriders...but if you must have one...go ahead. If your Persona is a Dolphineer...turn back now. You can't have a Dolphin AND a Dragon...there isn't enough time in the day.
Naming your persona...can be difficult...belive me I know. Only males get an Honorific when they Impress...so make sure that your male candidate's name will sound decent if he Impresses (ex. Fensel = F'sel Don't use this...He's mine!) Females don't change thier names...ever...that I know of. I suggest shorter female names...but if you want long...go for it. It is your character after all. No names...I repeat NO NAMES human or pet can end in "th". That ending is reserved for dragons. If any name on your page ends in "th"...you have to change it or you get no dragon. That's just the way it is.
DO NOT have your persona looking to a god or diety of ANY kind. There is no religion on Pern...never has been...never will be. Don't try and change it.
Three persona's per person. Any combination of genders...unless permission that states otherwise is given.
I am trying to keep this as close to Anne McCaffrey's Pern as I can...Call me a "traditionalist" if you must...but I believe that there is only one White Dragon (RUTH RULES!), that women only Impress Greens and Golds....and that men can have anything but a Gold. There are no odd colors here...no black, silver, rainbow...And definately no white. So if you're looking for something out of the ordianry, this is not the place for you. I know fandom dictates differently, but unless you have a good reason for wanting your female persona to Impress a Brown or a Blue...you can forget it. Im most cases I will e-mail you to tell you that you've been accepted...but you should still check to see if you've been added...cause sometimes I forget to send out the mail.
You've got one week to put your dragon on your page. And it takes about a week for it to grow to the next one. When it's time for the dragon to grow, I'll send you the next stage, provided that you've got the previous one up already.
Suggestions on dragon name and color will be concidered, but I might not give you what you want...so don't think that by telling me that you want a Bronze dragon named...well...whatever the name would be....that that is what you are going to get. And if you don't get what you want...do not try and change the graphic color...or name...I will be very upset if you do...
