Purpose

As Evangelicals, we share a rich heritage in the "solas" of the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation. One of the great legacies of the Reformation was putting Scripture into the hands of the laity. This was at no small price, for many who translated the Scriptures into common languages paid with their lives.

The Scriptures alone bound the consciences of the Reformers in matter's of faith and morals, and this should be an example for the Evangelical Church today. We seek to promote justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Along with the Cambridge Declaration, we affirm:

"Today, the light of the Reformation has been significantly dimmed. The consequence is that the word 'evangelical' has become so inclusive as to have lost its meaning ... Because of this crisis and because of our love of Christ, his gospel and his church, we endeavor to assert anew our commitment to the central truths of the Reformation and of historic evangelicalism. These truths we affirm not because of their role in our traditions, but because we believe that they are central to the Bible."
The "solas" are central to God's written Word. And that is why I have created this website, to promote these truths as central to the gospel of peace (Eph. 6:15), as Paul called it. A man may be reconciled unto God, and have peace only through justification in Christ alone. If anything, please read this article: How may we have peace with God?

May this website bless you, and bring glory to God alone. Soli Deo Gloria!
