17th September 2002 - Amen Update
posted by timmy @ 7.00pm
Well this unfortunatley will probably be the last update for this website. I have achieved what i set out to do from the beginning, and due to work increases in my life i will not be able to update the pages as much as i would like to.
So this page is dedicated to the hard work of, in my opinion the greatest punk/metal band ever - AMEN.

AMEN gave me the best start to this new year i could possibly imagine. Meeting up with them, and working with them at the Big Day Out. They treated me with respect and a actual human being, not some lame ass fan or starfucker. Actually taking the time to hang out, and talk. I know they meet tons of people everywhere they go but, everyone they meet they treat with such respect, which makes fans like you and me appreciate them even more. Im sure many of you have a story or two to tell regarding your encounters with Amen, and im postive it would feature how nice, friendly and genuine the guys from Amen were.

Their music is raw, aggressive and real. They have dared to take the challenge of keeping punk metal alive in this fucked up world where nothing evolves, you hear the same shit on the airwaves a million times over, disposable crap that will never last. Amen will. True, genuine and powerful tunes that we will always have with us.

Amen is an inspiration.

To many people,  Amen is a meaning for life. Music plays a powerful part in our lives, and without true, real bands like Amen, i dont know where we would be. I will never forget the time i spent with Amen and the fun we had.

So these pictures on this site from New Zealand and Australia serve as a rememberance to some of the best days of my life, with one of the worlds best rock groups, who are also one of the most underrated bands in the world.
You guys are not rockstars. You people are true, decent, great human beings. Keep doing what you do best. Kicking ass and keeping it real.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this website. You know who you are. Without you i wouldnt have gathered over 150 pictures and bits of information from the Big Day Out tour January and February 2002. If you come accross anything anytime, please send it to me, as i will stick it up. I am not going away, i will be on the coma america boards, [old and new]. So if you wanna catch up thats where i'll be. Aswell as on MSN.

Thank you. Thank you Casey, Sonny, Tumor, Larkin and last but certainly not least Rich. You have given us, and hopefully will keep giving us some of the best music we will ever hear. Good luck for the gigs in England and the situation with the record companies. I hope to be able to hear the new album and I hope to see you again soon.

Over and Out.

kindest regards,
Timmy.
