The Impeachment of a President
9. To begin wading through the recent confluence of insanity... resulting in the normalcy of evil... we need to define a few terms for a simple reason. When any portion of our Constitution is violated... EVERY portion is endangered. That's the danger of the faulty thinking of those News print and Talking Heads who verbally pounce on and denigrade those who practice the first of all freedoms: freedom of religion (no matter how silly some zealous folk really might appear to be). Or when some religionists with zeal (though lacking in knowledge) attempt to silence free thinking and speaking opponents to whatever their cause is. If one freedom goes, they all can. And when one freedom is qualified and further restricted by government, the other freedoms will soon follow. We're in this mess together folks... whether we like it or not. Stuffing our heads in the sand just leaves our hinder parts exposed.
Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution states: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Treason: the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance (in this case... to overthrow the government of the United States of America) or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or his family.
Bribery: the act or practice of giving or taking money or favor or promise to a person in a position of trust to influence his judgment or conduct
or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors: oral sex with Monica L.
So folks... let's say it together: other high Crimes and Misdemeanors! One more time: other... HIGH... Crimes... and... Misdemeanors.
The Starr Chamber Inquisition... I mean Inquiry... and even the House of Representatives (folks who are elected to REPRESENT... NOT... RESENT... WE, the People when we raise our voice) hearings... have gone on long enough. Doctrines of Perfectionism have been peddle, but not bought into. Political rhetoric has failed. Censure IS an option for Congress... as much as taxation and any other function "not prohibited by the Constitution" is an option. So to all the Starr Chamber Hypocrites (most of them Attorneys... MasterCons of rhetoric... and typical money grabbin' legalists who probably know better than most who and how to con...) ... to all these pompous, self-righteous sitting in judgment fools... some who have had known, publicized affairs... and other past "indiscretions" themselves; to all those Congressional panalists who have had affairs and never got caught; and to all those Representatives (on both sides of the aisle...) who WISH they had had an affair... GET OFF THE PRESIDENT'S BACK!
Mr. Clinton might be a woman-izer (what a shocking revelation!!), but YOU... in the House of Representations... have made a mockery of our legal system of checks and balances! Who is so ignorant and doesn't know that: All perjury is lying.. but NOT all lies are perjury. If it WERE so (that all lies were perjury...) ... then there is NOT a soul living on this Earth who could stand up to the intense scrutiny of a 50 million dollar investigation... the likes only to be found in the history of the old Salem Witch hunts... with the hopes of being found innocent! Which of us would survive that kind of insane investigation??!
For all this political charade and phoney media hype (that garnishes lots of ratings and rakes in big bucks for all those TalkingHead -- TV and Radio Network News Corporations...) ... for all this the President should have immunity... at least for a whole hour in the Oval Office to really have a good time... without phone call interruptions! 'Cause if that's what is called a sexual affair... then Mr. Clinton got the short end of the stick (so to speak...)... or we, Joe-public are all doing something quite different in our bedrooms!
Is anyone really ready... (well, yes there's lots ready...) but how about "ready AND able" to cast the first stone?! This peddling of perfectionism leaving no margin for human error, weakness, or failing... has never been required of anyone in the history of this Country... and quite possibly in the history of the World. Certainly... everyone who knows US History... also knows that most of the Presidents had women on the side. And at least one President even had a male companion!
NOW... we find the Starr Chamber recommendation... that Mr. Clinton be barred from holding any public office for the rest of his life (something that was not even require of Mr. Nixon!!). Somebody on that Committee panel's smokin' some good stuff!!
Right now... our governmental system of checks and balances is being weighed in the balance and found sorely wanting. The President has already confessed his failures... publically to MORE people than any one in the history of the World. And he's been publically humiliated to his wife and kid! So let's get on with our National life. Where's our spirit to error on Mercy? rather than Justice? Now, it's high time we protest those government baffoons who look more likes warts and toads! No wonder they don't like Clinton. They couldn't have an affair if they tried!! He at least jogs ... and keeps himself in shape!
As a long time conservative Republican... I might find several other reasons for not liking Clinton and his political agenda... but I hope we as a Nation... haven't sunk as low... if not lower than Monica L.!!
If you're interested in impeaching everyone who lies... well, start with the framers of our Constitution... those men who penned: freedom of religion (FIRST of all Rights...) and freedom of speech and assembly... who even understood what it means to "Take the 5th" ammendment... and what kind of different life we would have without "the 5th". Then proceed to almost all the Presidents... including Hamilton, Jefferson, and Lincoln... just to name a couple. They would ALL need to be impeached for lying... if lying is a sufficient cause for impeachment. Then move to all those other folks who have lied... those who hid the Jews from the Nazi's.
And how about ALL those fathers AND mothers who have hid their kids from intruders into their homes... the likes of Charles Manson, or any other murderer or thug. "Where did you hide your kids? You know... you shouldn't lie!" "Oh... yes Sir, you are absolutely right. Thank you, Charlie M.... for reminding me I shouldn't lie. 'Cause I never lie. I'm a Christian. So, I'll show you where they are right now!" -- It's ludicrous!!
Perhaps our President and investigative departments of the Executive branch should deal with thugs the likes of Saddam Hussein differently. "Is the attack really gonna be on the NEW MOON BEFORE the holy month of RAMADAN when night is the darkest? You know you shouldn't lie!!"
(An aside: Here's something to chomp on... do you think anyone on the Impeachment Committee knew in advance when the President's military advisors were planning to attack Iraq? And could they have scheduled public hearings to coincide with that well known NEW MOON date often used by military... especially those with extensive Night Vision technology... to their keep the advantage of surprise. After all, everybody knows New Moons only happen once every 28 days. I don't know?! It's just a thought.)
Perhaps, the military strategists should have revealed the invasion of Normandy plans. "When and where will the assault take place? You know you shouldn't lie!!" And perhaps, even the front defensive line of your favorite NFL team ought not to fake a pass anymore. They ought to ALWAYS tell the truth! "You know you shouldn't lie." You should be like every-self-righteous-foo' on all the Talk Shows who give the appearance that they ALWAYS tell the truth... ALL THE TIME.
What do we tell our kids? Tell them... even the President lies just like all the rest of us. What do we tell our kids about "role models"? Well, if you have to rely on politicians as YOUR role models... you're in tough straights!! They've never been mine. I've never heard of a politician who doesn't lie. I can't imagine a politician who doesn't lie. I am convinced that to be a politician... you must practice your skill at lying. But apparently, I'm wrong. There's an additional criteria to being a politician now days. You must also include hypocritically sitting in judgment over others, too... especially if you have had numerous sexual affairs yourself. So tell our kids "To be a good democratic OR republican holding public office you need to have and hide your affairs, ALSO... all the while hoping you're not exposed by Larry Flint's who's WHOSE... or who's THESE? -- List of panty raiding politicians."
What do we tell our kids? Tell them the truth... NOT ALL CRIMES... are treasonous, high crimes and misdemeanors. Then tell them the whole Monica L. thing is NOT one of these HIGH crimes and misdemeanors. Tell them the democratic republic of the United States of America did NOT topple down because two horney adults with lousy sex habits tumbled around. But tell them America someday WILL crumble... will fall irrecoverably because fascist mentality will come to power... but not without the help of relgious spokesmen and hollier-than-the-next-guy representatives. THEN, self-righteous critics the likes this world has never seen... will have the ability to take that thin piece of paper that once held us common, ordinary folk free from tyrannical powers... and distort that fragile document... our Constitution in its purpose, and twist it in its meaning and intention... by virulent, pompous fools who will freely sit in judgment over us... telling us what we ought and ought not do. Tell them that the only time a real sexual affair should probably be a high crime and misdemeanor is when, birthed from that union... are these very sub-human freakish SELF-RIGHTEOUS CRITICS!
Folks... tell our kids once our Constitution has been abused... any one of us will be next! Tell them when people in power... slicker than Willie... begin to disregard reason, when people in power prefer Justice... over Mercy,... tell our kids when these same powerful hypocritics (themselves wearing a mask) are permitted to rule unharnassed and at whim... without regard to our Constitutional Rights as a whip in each Voter's hand... then we as a Nation are doomed. Tell ALL our kids If government can spend endless hours and near infinite resources in fault finding... then NONE OF US will ever be safe again. Tell ALL of our children If they can get the President of the United States... they can get you and me. Because none of us are innocent.
And to those families of faith, tell our kids... who have a first hand opportunity to step back and watch, like a vicious dog fight, the dead burying the dead... tell our kids If those sitting in positions of power could nail Jesus, the Christ who knew no sin... then these can most certainly crucify each and everyone of us.
One great disappointment is... that ALL THOSE FOLKS who DID vote for Clinton (still the "majority" if the pollsters are correct...) haven't raised their community voice in protest. I for one... who DIDN'T vote for him... at least can understand the principles at stake!
NOW, is the time for heroes. Not tomorrow. NOW! Don't sit back too long... in comfort and questionable security. TODAY is the day! SPEAK UP!!
