Until recently, Alexander Perezhogin
(aka Raul) was a student at Yaroslavl Technical University, Yaroslavl,
Russia. Why don't you check out his great homepage! (By the way, you might
wonder if you got lost
landing on Raul's Home Page. Nope, just have Alex or Raul
or Sasha or whomever he is this week... give you a brief
explanation that will only take about an hour or two to unravel! Actually,
Alex is one funny kid! Recently in December... he called me from Russia!
I'm sure he must have been drinking heavily... trying to keep himself warm..
and inadvertantly dialed the wrong number! Alex is a great guy. Extremely
talented... and pretty funny, too! If you don't believe me... before you
visit his homepage... check THIS out!!
And here's two wonderfully interesting links that Alex sent giving a window on Yaroslavl: Before and Now and Architecture, Fresco and Icon Painting. The beautiful gif on this page is The Church of the Resurrection in Yaroslavl. Enjoy your visit!
One
rare individual I've had the distinct privilege to correspond with for
quite some time is Yixin Zhou. He's a tremendously intelligent and incredibly
hard working guy who through the years has still been able to find time
to share some of the most interesting emails about his ancient and modern
homeland - the People's Republic of China. Yixin is a post-graduate of
the prestigious University of Peking, in Beijing - the oldest and most
venerable University in modern China... which on occasion has hosted her
British and American counterparts from Oxford... or Harvard, Yale and other
Ivy league institutions.
To know someone as thoughtful as Yixin is to enjoy the acquaintance of a truly talented and special individual. Here's another guy it is my privilege to call: Friend...
So check out Yixin's website! And visit him often. And when you do... check out his illustrious resume... especially the part on all that Remote Sensing... stuff! (smile)
Rod Stewart, in Forever Young... wrote:
May the good Lord be with You...
Down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness surround You
when You're far from home.
Well... you'll be warmed and welcomed on your unusual visit to Yixin's Homepage in the East.
(Update -- Aug. 1999) Currently, Yixin is studying Post-Graduate work at Buffalo State University, New York.
Currently, Vladislav Kornienko is studying
computer programming at the State Technical University in Ulyanovsk, Russia.
Ulyanovsk is a very famous city in the middle region of Russia situated
along side an enormous lake that is fed by the Volga River. This city is
the birthplace of Lenin. I think you'll enjoy visiting Vladislav's homepage.
By the way... did you figure out where he got his homepage name: K R I
N O ?? (Hint: every other letter of Vladislav's last name... cool, eh?!)
Fabio Ricci is another student working on his
degree in Computer Programming. He's studying at a University in Pisa,
Italy. I think you'll enjoy reading about his personal interest in astronomy.
Fabio recently finished his mandatory service in the Italian Army. If you're
interested in knowing more about Italian bootcamp... ask Fabio. I think...??
he said he LOVED IT!! (I think?!)
I hope you'll check out his homepage.
Tri, the Thai Guy!.. is completing his Master's Degree in Mass Communications in Melbourne, Australia. Somedays, Tri's a real comedian; other times, he can be shy. So stop by his JUST A HOME PAGE (which is more than "just" a place on the web...) and get to know him. Remember, he's down under... so if you're talking about Sunny Summer days... he'll probably be talking about freezing his bottom! (or vice versa).
And when you visit... don't forget to read.. (well, you might forget the paper on his favorite American TV program: Ricki Lake Talk Show... but) don't forget to read Tri's comments on the interesting cultural aspects of Australia as well as technology in our 21st century world.
Last of all, don't forget to tell this cool Thailand Guy you stopped by!
Tomasz Wolek, currently studying Electronics
and Telecommunications at the Academy of Mining and Metalurgy in Cracow...
Tomasz has a one-of-a-kind Vivabluf

Tomasz's English; he won't worry about our Polish!
