History
In the midst of England's new found love for all the mindless, talentless crap that the record industry could throw at them, one band emergered from the darkness with the kind of music that has been missing for way too long...
REjuvinate are the new sound of English youth. Their innovative blend of heavy metal, rock, and grunge, with many other genres mixed into the fray, gives them an extremely diverse sound, the likes of which hasn't been heard before. The brainchild of Andy, whose first musical project was FathomBEAT (available here)he realised there was something missing from the English music scene, and then set about filling the gap. He quickly added a drummer to give his music a stronger rhythm. This line-up created only a few songs, such as "Cat Fucker", the bands first song, and an early version of ???, under the name of Pie N' Thrash, but Andy realised that the sound was still missing something. He recruited Tommy, an old school friend and a promising rhythm guitarist, and soon after Pestilence joined, to give the music that extra dimension it needed. This line up created the songs "Wench", ???, and ???, which showcased the unique mix of genres
synonymous with the band.
After these few tracks were made, the band went into the studio to make their debut album, tentatively titled "Cloud Cuckoo Land".
After internal rowing in the band, RK and Tommy were ousted, and RK was quickly replaced by a more experienced drummer, Barry. Rather than replacing Tommy, Andy called on the expertise of another old school friend, Ca$h. This line up promises to bring a more hard edge and energetic sound, whilst still retaining the elements that made the band so special in the first place.
Andy
The frontman and mastermind behind the band, this 6 foot 4 inch tall mountain of a man, built like a brick shit house, towers above the rest of the group in more ways than one. As well as being a scarily aggressive character he has an unmistakable talent on a synth, and is able to play the bass guitar with a passion rarely seen since the Golden era of rock/heavy metal in the eighties. His vocals are filled with emotion and angst, which suit the lyrical content of the songs perfectly.
Pestilence
The self-proclaimed mad man of the group, Pestilence is determined to take on the World with his outrageous, somewhat overbearing riffs and undeniably catchy hooks. His unique stylings perfectly compliment the rest of the group. A shadowy figure of very few words, he prefers to let his playing do the talking, and he does that with style.
Ca$h
Joined the band on the epic day of Tuesday June 13th. Bought in by Andy, along with Baz, to give the band a new edge. He was preferred to replacing the old guitarist Tommy. Ca$h learnt his trade in the local clubs, before spending several months on the shores of Ibiza. He hopes to make the big time on his own, but for the time being he felt that joining a band could help to improve his sound, and give it the depth it lacked.
Barry
Formerly from the band "Chuckles", whom he left after refusing to be seen in public with the rest of the band claiming they 'ruined his image'. Replacement for the original drummer, Baz has a much more clinical style of drumming. Has a good understanding of the rock industry, and music in general. His somewhat hyperactive and energetic presence when on stage compliments his style of drumming. He likes to be in the limelight, but is more often than not over shadowed by other more superior band members, but he tries his best. A real powerhouse, he always gives 110%, and gives the band a more rounded sound.
