Violinist/Vocalist Ben Barnes was educated at the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and has played with Issac Stern, Jason Newsted, DJ Disc, and MIRV as well as his own band Deadweight, who's first demo was produced by Jason Newsted of Metallica.

Barnes played Violin & Viola on Mr Bungle's California.
