Relics

The origins of these relics are not fully known or understood. Some say that they were created by the gods for the people (although gods aren't known to be generous). Others say they are all that remain of a very advanced ancient civilization (which alas did not discover a technology to stop it from disappearing). Others (mostly creepy people with pencils in their pockets) say there're no relics at all and the whole thing is a government conspiracy. Legends say that these relics were once kept in 7 diffrent temples, and were guarded by 7 diffrent tribes. Each tribe enherited strange characteristics, which were how the relics were named. According to ancient runes, these tribes grew jealous of one another, and a war broke out. Little is know about the war or what happened to the relics, but it is belived that 2 of the tribes died out, and the surviving 5 are what we have today. Many adventures have gone into the forest to find these long lost tribes, but have never returned.

Today the relics are sought after by warriors and bounty hunters, who use the relics powers for either good or evil. These relics are said to wield the powers to tilt the great war to either side. Your mission is to posses as many of these relics as you can, and use them to battle the forces of good or evil.

The relics and the owners are as follows:

Dragons Eye: +3 to accuracy.
The Eagle Eye is a large gem which magnifies objects through it. It is belived that holding it in your fist will improve your vision and clear your mind in battle. Although this has never been proven, very few disbelive it. Legends say that the warriors who protected this relic developed into the elves we know today.

Tome of Eternity: +2 to M level. +15 to Magic.
He who reads this tome is said to gain knowledge of everything from the radius of Ganymede's orbit to the economic situation in Bolivia. Minor side effects include obsessive-compulsive behaviour and rare cases of brains exploding. Take care.
Owner: Duke

Idol of Infinance: +2 to W level. +15 to Strength
Made from crushed bones of enemies and quenched in their blood and other, less well-known body fluids, this Idol is said to make its holder immensly strong (not to mention morbid).
Owner: Duke

Horn of Instance: Always go first in battle. +30 to dextarity.
By blowing the Horn of Instance, many have claimed to get from place to place in what seems to be no time at all. Not many merchants have been able to possess this relics for long however, and those who have refused to surrender it have been known to have lost alot more than just a customer. The potentual that this relic has to benefit those who hold it is obvious, and so is sought after much more by heros then merchants.
Owner: Ex Dogma

Anak: Time spent dead is only 2 days. Victory in battle gives the owner an extra 10% of the enemy stats.
This artifact was created by the Ancient and Undying Society of Necromancers. The bearer of this relic is rumoured to be immortal (Well except for a minor stopover in the Land of the Dead. Make sure you get a good hotel.)
Owner: Arcantile

Stone of Life: Restores 10% of endurance points left, each turn.
The Stone of Life is considered to be one of most sacred of all the relics, as it actually knits the broken bone back together, and mends the torn flesh of whomever holds it. This relic has prolonged the life of many great kings, and many infamous villians. After a thousand years, the evil warlock Morlang was finally killed, and it was agreed that the Stone of Life that kept him alive for so many years should be cast into the river with all the other stones. Rumours have it that the stone has been found.
Owner: Arcantile

Optic Prism: Restores 20% of mana left, each turn.
A wizard of great power was said to have crafted this prism. Attuned to the Forest's magical force lines, it slowly sucks magic from something like a rabbit or a tree and gives it to the wearer. It is said that one day the prism will drain all magic from the Forest and it will disappear. This may be the wizard's secret purpose behind this device. He never liked trees.
