It's interesting to note that most Labyrinth fans - at least those obsessed enough to create a webpage dedicated to the movie - are female.  It's a quick and easy jump to say the Goblin King has something to do with this phenomenon.  I'm not talking David Bowie here, the musician/actor who played the Goblin King in the movie.  I'm talking about the character who was birthed with the movie but has been developed in such greater detail in our imaginations.  Let's take a look, shall we?
