A student at Sakaki High and a member of the track team, though she rarely shows up for practice until after she's given up on Yuu for good. Arimi once loved Yuu and managed to convince him to go out with her for a 3-month trial period. At the end of the 3 months, Arimi was sure Yuu would return her love. As things turned out, he broke up with her and the two of them never saw each other again until they bumped into each other when Yuu was at Wonder Dog (an amusement park) with Miki. This turn of events led to a renewed effort from Arimi to get the two of them together. She even went as far as to team up with Ginta to try and make Yuu and Miki jealous, hopefully resulting in each of them getting together with the person they wanted. The plan backfired on her though, and she eventually came to terms with Yuu and Miki being together. Her fan club consists of three seniors who are the most popular guys in school: Murai, Imai, and Tomishiige. It's later discovered the the three of them are actually dating different girl friends of Arimi's, and they often hung out together. Regardless, the three often defend Arimi against Rokutanda's constant badgering. Eventually, Arimi ends up going to Toryu University with Ginta and Miki so she can stay with Ginta, whom she is happily involved with at this point. She even joins the tennis club with the two of them.

Ginta originally liked Miki back in grade school, but because of the circumstances with the guys that found a love letter Miki had left in his bag for him, he had to deny those feelings, unaware that Miki was standing in the doorway until it was too late. Satisfied to at least remain her friend for the time being, the two enjoyed being on the tennis team together for many years until Yuu transfered to their school and Ginta started to feel threatened. Eventually, Ginta comes to terms with Yuu and Miki's relationship, and actually ends up being happy with Arimi. Regardless of the mix-ups in the past, the pair are still close friends. Ginta ends up going to Toryu University with Arimi and Miki. He even talks Arimi into joining the tennis club with them.

Student that teases Na-chan in class by immitating one of the school girls with a crush on him.

Considered to be a prodigy at his school because of his skills on the piano, Kei quit school and started working at Bobson's Ice Cream to try and regain some sense of a normal life (Bobson's is where he met Miki). Normally quiet and reserved, he finds himself falling for Miki and trying to break her and Yuu up. In a final confrontation to retrieve the bracelet Yuu had given her, Miki tells Kei to never try to break them up again and to return to school and his piano practice. Taking her advice, Kei does just that and quits working at Bobson's. Later on, he is often seen with Sakuma hanging on his arm. Though still reserved, he doesn't seem to mind to company or attention. He never tries to get between Miki and Yuu again.

Owner and manager of the Junk Jungle. Yuu's employer. One of Na-chan's classmates.

Namiki's daughter and Miho's sister. Though their father is Japanese, their mother is German and they often travel from Germany to Japan, so the entire family is bilingual. The two sisters blackmail Miki and Yuu into taking them to an amusement park and playing with them after seeing them kiss in the hallway.

Meiko's parents are both having their own affairs and her mother is usually drunk while her father is never home. If the two are home at the same time, it often results in explosive arguements which hurt Meiko a great deal. Because of these experiences, she swore early on in her life that she would never get married or have children. Meiko is also Miki's best friend from grade school. Is most often seen at school with and Ginta. A member of the literature club, she often bumps into Yuu at the nearly abandoned library on campus when he's checking out books on architecture. Though she is often doing research for the papers she writes for her club, she is also often waiting for Na-chan to join her. Having been in love since grade school, it breaks Meiko's heart when Na-chan turns in his resignation and moves to Hiroshima to become a real estate agent at his family's business. With Satoshi's help, she eventually succeeds in publishing her own book just before graduation. With the awards and reviews on her work boosting her confidence, she goes to Hiroshima with Miki to find Na-chan. During the course of their visit, the couple finally come to terms with what happened at Meiko's school and are married soon after Meiko gradutes.

A friend of Yuu's from seminar at KIT (Kyoto Institute of Technology). Yuu tells Miki that she's his girlfriend when Miki comes to see him and finds them walking to class together. In truth, Yuu had turned Saho down when she told him she loved him because he still had feelings for Miki.

Satoshi's cousin. A popular model for several magazines and commercials, Suzu ends up working with Yuu on a perfume commercial Chiyako's company is doing. Suzu gets Satoshi to help her set up tutoring sessions with Yuu because she thinks he's pretty and she likes being around pretty things. For a short time, she is convinced that Yuu would be better off with Meiko rather than Miki because they'd look better together. Later on, she accepts the situation as it is and ends up going out with Kei.

Yoshimitsu's son and Sakuma's cousin. Believes Yuu is his half brother for the majority of his life until the two boys confront Yoshimitsu and discover that though Chiyako did work for their architecture company, she turned Yoshimitsu down flat when he asked her out (she was already dating Jin at the time). Has a big crush on Meiko for a long time until he learns of her engagement to Na-chan and finally comes to terms with just being friends.

When their relationship originally came to light, Na-chan turned in his resignation and left for Hiroshima to become a real estate agent at his family's business, believing he wasn't good enough for Meiko and she could do better without him. He finally accepts their relationship completely and proposes to her when she comes to visit him in Hiroshima just before her graduation. The two are married soon after.

Yuu originlly went to Yokohama high school until their families moved in together and he transfered to Miki's school and got a part time job at Junk Jungle. He even did a perfume commercial with Sakuma. Originally belives Satoshi is his half brother and Yoshimitsu is his father because of a letter he read to his father, Youji from his grandmother (Youji's mother - is accidentally referred to as Youji's sister in the 8th book of the manga). It's later hinted that Namiki is his real father, then Jin. It's later revealed that Chiyako miscarried Jin's baby just before marrying Youji, so Youji is his biological father. Because of the mess with Jin possibly being his father, Yuu broke up with Miki for a time before giving up on keeping his distance and asking her if she'd marry him after he graduated from college (he's studying architecture at KIT - Kyoto Intsitute of Technology).
