rose The Commuter's Dilemma: saving time but wasting it!

Got a long ride to work? Have to change buses twice or thrice to get to class? Whatever your crazy commuting schedule, you can make the most of your time:

* If you're riding and not driving, lean back and take a nap. Even if you don't sleep, relaxing will help you be refreshed.

* If you're driving, do something useful but NOT distracting. Turn off your cell phone so you keep your eyes and concentration on the road, but do listen to the news or some good music. Learning tapes are also great. Maybe go over in your mind some of the basic plans for the day - but avoid getting absorbed.

* On the bus or train, bring a book. Bring something you really need to read and plan on finishing a certain amount by the time you reach. After a couple of trips, you'll know how much you're capable of.

* Daydream. Or just look out the window and observe the trees, the sights, the scenery. When did you see that last?
