You've heard of feeling blue, but green has so many other connotations. And around St.Patrick's Day, you have to remember to wear your green, for luck: Green with envy - green can often mean envy, and people get green with jealousy and enmity unfortunately all too often. Green around the gills - fresh out of the pond? A novice is like a raw vegetable, unripened with experience and wisdom. It's always greener on the other side of the fence - this green can be good. A bright green lawn is beautiful, but things can look brighter when you're looking from afar. Got some green? - money will always be green in the U.S., and the greenbacks will slap our palms for years to come. But of course, money isn't everything. Green - it's the color of nature, of the leaves, Green - it's the color of nature, of the leaves, the grass, the lucky shamrocks, and it's what the Leprechaun wears! So wear yours and here's hoping that you find your own personal pot of gold. |
