Making your home dust-free doesn't have to be a cloudy affair. A little advance planning, and you can prevent all that dust! * Don't let the dust in! Make sure you have good mats at your doors, both front and back, inside and out. Insist that everyone removes their shoes, even guests. Keep a basket of slippers by the door if it's cold or if you don't have carpet. * Keep the air clean. Replacing your air filter regularly and even investing in an air-purifier can go a long way to removing dust. Also, keep doors closed whenever possible, or keep screens on open doors and windows. * Use microfiber cloths when you dust. These pick up dust and keep it there, without stirring it up. Or use a damp cloth and wash it. * If you have allergies, use a face mask on tough dusting jobs. Or take your allergy medicine before you have to do the dusting. Better yet, delegate it to someone without allergies! You'll have a dust-free home in no time.
