Why

Back

"Why would I go through all this trouble to make a web site for Renée?" you might ask. Well, the answers very simple. Renée's one of the few people in the world who truly does have a good heart. Anytime I talk to her, she makes me feel special, and not that North Peel special, but the kind of special that makes me believe I really matter.

I met Renée at the end of grade 10. We didn't really get to know eachother until the next year. We became such good friends in grade 11, and even better friends over the summer of grade 11. I didn't even know what I was missing until I got to know her, and I was missing out on so much with not knowing her. She's one of the funniest, most caring, and defiantly one of the most sincere people I know. I can't imagine my life without her friendship.

One of the funniest moments that ever happened was when Renée and I were in the washroom at a bowling ally. I was drying my hands and she was telling me how "North Peel Special" I was. Then she beamed her head off of the wall. Is that funny or what?

This and the many other times I've had the privilege of spending time with Renée have been amazing. She's such an amazing person, and I'm glad I'm lucky enough to be able to call her a friend.

This was a poem I wrote for her a while ago; I thought I'd share it with you.

I Love You

It's rare to find,
A friend like you.
Good friends are many,
But great ones are few.

You're one of the great,
That are hard to find.
But since your great,
I don't mind.

Life's not perfect,
But with you it's better.
You're always there,
To ask, "What's the matter?"

I hope you know,
How special you are.
I want to stay friends,
Even if we're far.

By reading all this,
You have to know.
That no matter what,
You'll never be my foe.

Remember all this,
And read it when you need to.
I'll always be here,
And know I love you.
(In a non-homosexual, totally straight manner ;P)
