Two Ethical Issues in Computing
Cite two ethical issues in computing. Explain how they are ethical in nature.
Computer hacking, I say is one of the computer issues in computing. To some this is unethical since you are usurping unauthorized access to files that are not your own like tapping to files or credit card or password files. But if this is for educational purpose, mission critical related situation then this is ethical in nature.
Computer software copying for personal use categorically speaking is Media Piracy is also an issue since this is illegally copied for a personal file or copy, but it's illegal. I viewed a portion in Magandang Umaga Bayan that TinTin and Julius buy pirated DVD's for the reason that the original copy is the same as the original copy for a sky high difference in price. Quite ironic since the persons in the media should be ensamples of not patronizing the pirated copies of the movies. I ask myself why is that so. Is it the law of our country in implementing laws? Or is it the output of a law not having any teeth to fight piracy or is it the morally accepted in countries that improperly implement laws? Personally, as a poor man who cannot afford the thousand worth of original will and will always resolve to lower value unless he is accustomed to purchasing original copies. Julius did not see it illegal since he assumed that the presence of this is the street became legal. Or in relation to virtue it became an accepted act or virtue.
